.... but we`ve dropped our points against sides nearer the bottom - Norwich x3, Sunderland, West Ham, Stoke x 2.
Villa is the next big game for us. It's still the case that anything we can pick up away to the top sides is a bonus and even we manage say two points if we don't back it up with victory at Villa then a gap will appear at the top. Villa will also be the 1st big fitness test for our style as we've not had to play two games back to back yet.
Agree 100%. 3 massive games in 6 days to kick off a very busy December. Hopefully the apparent shallowness of our squad won't be an issue. I can see some of the kids playing a big part in that series of matches.
Villa will also be a very interesting game because I think they're the only team that haven't played against us whilst we've had pochettino .
Its all about turning games that we lost last year into draws (like against Utd) and draws into wins. I would be happy as a pig in **** with 2 draws as it means the gap does not increase. I think it will be a 2-2 draw with SORRY TO SAY an indidual error by Jose costing us a goal, as I think Arses front 4 are just too slick for him
You'll have to make sure a message gets through to Jose so that he can oblige, otherwise he'll probably have yet another largely error free game.
and no chance of Ozil getting crocked! England will face a Germany side missing Mesut Ozil, Philipp Lahm and Manuel Neuer at Wembley on Tuesday. Sami Khedira (knee) was already absent, but coach Joachim Low has rested Ozil, Lahm and Neuer to try "new tactical variations and personnel".
Low has rested Ozil, Lahm and Neuer to try "new tactical variations and personnel _____________________ Damn it, was hoping he'd have a run out at least! He will cause us trouble, for sure.
I hope the players and management are as ambitious as some of our more optimistic and demanding fans. I'd like the team as many of us will, to come away disappointed if we don't get something from each of our next two games. I agree Villa represents the next most realistic opportunity for a maximum points haul but we can pick up more valuable and unexpected points against sides around us. To be one of them, we have to stop admiring them and be and beat them and in their own backyard. Valid point about the fitness of the side. I imagine we'll have to rely on the wider squad for the Villa game.
he is going to love playing against us then :sm http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jack-wilshere-says-englands-defeat-2803191
If Wilshere plays like he has every single England performance (how many chances do some get?) then Wanyama and Schneiderlin won't need to be getting in his face. They just need to stand still and he will try to run through them losing the ball at the same time. I used to rate Wilshere but not anymore. I don't think it's down to fitness anymore. Maybe the 'potential' that he had has already reached it's level. Now Ozil and Cazorla I do worry about..........and Ramsey's unbelievable form ATM. Wish Ramsey would return to the sort of form Wilshere is having now, and preferably before the weekend.
