Long has admitted he doesn't know where his long-term future lies and may leave West Brom.

Does that mean he's an impending arrival in the JTW?

I took a second to unravel that anagram. Thought we'd renamed the stadium or something?

Thought the well was dry? Would rather sign Livermore permanently if we had the moola

Personally I don't think Shane Long is the answer to our goal scoring problems, but if he comes it would only strengthen the squad I suppose. How about going for Raheem Sterling on loan in January, he would be the ideal cover for the loss of Aluko.

Strikers tend to score goals in spells and Shane Long looks like he's just at the start of one.

5 or 6 more goals between now and January will probably mean he won't be for sale.

We missed our chance in August.

Think I would rather sign Livemore on a permanent and then get his and Thud's mate Defoe on loan. After all he is looking to play regular football to keep him in Hodgeson's thoughts for Brazil and he isn't getting that at Spurs.

This, though I'd like Long in also. You can never have enough decent strikers.

One thing that is 100% certain is the name change will go through and we'll then immediately throw a big wedge of money at a striker as if to say 'these are the players we can sign now we're called Hull tigers' our cowardly fans will then lap it all up like good boys and girls.

    So so predictable.

That Turkish bloke Amrabat has been linked with us again.

Make of it what you will.

    Seems unlikely to me personally.

I thought Allam said funds would be available for us to buy a striker in January?

I would get Livermore on a permanent and get Sterling on loan.

I feel we should try to get in one or two permanent strikers, at least one permanent and one on loan.

would Defoe be a realistic option ? i expect a big fight if he is available at our budget though -
Whats is Peter Bobdown doing these days ? is he still benchwarming at Stoke ?

Looking at the MLS for loans in January would be a good idea.

Getting someone like Tim Cahill on loan for a couple of months would certainly help.

I can't see Defoe coming to Hull in a million years.

Put yourself in his position. He's 31 and no longer first choice at Spurs. His international days are numbered. He's a Londoner and has only played down South. His next club will probably be his last. He'll want the best wage possible while playing the highest level of football, or he will want a completely new challenge.

My guess is he'll hold out for a decent offer from either Fulham or West Ham or take the MLS route. I can't see how City will tick any of his boxes.
