Fer= Not very good but may improve RVW=Doesn`t exist Elmander=Past it Hooper=N/A Redmond=Championship player flop Olsson=Good bit of business Tad harsh but The Judean Peoples front is of course welcome to his opinion when posting on the hobbit hole board...
You don't need to put him on your ignore list. if you are right about him. he will show himself up time and again! I always liken the ignore list to Thatcher's style of government, if you didn't agree with her, you were ignored! Surely much better to gather an informed opinion!
Tad harsh? Deliberate misrepresentation more like. Here's TJPF's own summing up from his first post: Spot on I would say. And if you treat a guy who offers a not unreasonable opinion with the lack of respect shown to him by some on here, don't grumble when he bites back.
Back to the OP as we have a week off this end of term report is actually quite a good idea so here is my take on the new arrivals so far. Fer is my favorite player so far he is still only 23 a Dutch international and a power house in midfield . The guy walked straight into the side and would be one of the first names on the team sheet with his performances and will only get better.8/10 RVW Very disappointing so far but has not become a bad player overnight, just the one goal and very few shots but hopefully he will hit form when he returns from his toe injury and start banging them in.5/10 Elmander is very similar to Holt in appearance and playing style but does not look like the solution to our goal drought but as a loan player we haven`t gambled financially, he works hard and has a good physical presence and CH obviously rates him .6/10 Hooper was injured just before the season started and was awesome against Watford but has not been given many chances so far, he is a natural goalscorer and i just wish we could see him and Ricky playing together soon.7/10 Redmond is raw youth talent and pace, the only player in the last England U21 tournament to show anything . He has been hampered with injury and CH wants to break him into the side slowly so rarely starts but is potentially a star in the making at Norwich.6/10 Olsson is a brilliant all action wing back in the Ashley Cole mold who has given us a more attacking threat as he has an eye for goal too.7/10
@supernorwich23 Fair assessment if you are marking them relative to their team mates. But if you are marking them relative to performances in the league, or even in the league minus the top six, I'd say you are being a bit over-generous.
We are one of the smallest clubs punching above our weight so i am marking them as Norwich players, we will never afford players like Yaya Ozil Suarez etc so this is a realistic assessment of what we have to work with also if Fer cost £10-15m then i would be marking him down on his Value For Money.
***SARCASM ALERT*** Good to see that scummer arguments are as logical, convincing and efficacious as ever.
I've added an alert message to assist you in your struggle to appreciate the subtle nuances of written English.
Yes. You do understand sarcasm don't you? Actually don't bother answering. It's quite clear that you did not understand that my post that apparently contradicts my earlier statement was patently saying, in unsubtle sarcastic form, that your arguments, as ever, lack substance, wit, intelligence or any form of convincing logical reasoning in any shape howsoever conveyed. As usual, you resort to ad hominem when you realise your statements lack foundation and your irrational utterings represent desperation to be recognised as a sentient being. In short, I revert to my original post. You're a moron.
And I revert to my original post, you're a pompous ****, (who can't see an oxymoron when he posts one!)
Sorry welly, you can bandy round the c-word as much as you like, but it makes you neither hard nor clever and adds no weight to your position. Two statements cannot be oxymoronic when the latter is so obviously sarcastic as to clearly be conveying the same meaning. I appreciate such a logical step is beyond your usual boundaries of comprehension, but I'd appreciate it if you'd at least try to understand rather than merely repeating the same tripe.
By the by, this wouldn't be an oxymoron anyway. Oxymorons are ostensibly contradictory statements/words that are, in fact, not contradictions in terms. E.g. "Cruel kindness". My two statements were contradictions in terms and therefore the opposites of oxymorons, but could be allied through appreciation of the normal use of sarcasm. Happy to educate you as often as you like, Welly. Wouldn't want you to think I'm losing pomposity now, would I?
You still don't get it, do you? I thought that you were above back editing posts to 'retro-fit' your argument... Just out of curiosity, did you get a 1st in law at uni?
Nice try Wellers, but I added the "ad hominem" point before you'd posted, as you can see from the timings if you had bothered to look. It was just to help you understand the situation as you don't appreciate subtlety and in no way changed the argument. It's important to highlight weaknesses in arguments to help you with your general education by me on here. I did not do law at Yooni.
I should point out at this stage Wellers that the only person making you look like a moron here is yourself. I do not accept any culpability for your moronic-ness. It is of your own making. Feel free to stop when you realise this.
Thought not, I saw through you some time ago, I gained an LLB 2:1(Hons) in law at uni (UEA '94), you just haven't got the university trained legal mind, so what was your degree in, sociology? Edit: Just seen your previous posts...for all your blustering and backtracking and editing your own posts, you still look like some two bob pompous **** on the ropes to me... Goodnight, mate.
And why would sociology be a joke degree? I'd have thought that understanding society is one of the most important elements of academic thought. (And before you ask me, no, my degree wasn't in sociology).
