I call this progress! The market has hardly been open long and we've already made a top class signing for a bargain price!

Bet the stadium was a massive shock to him, compared to Lille's stadium..

He said: "This is a fantastic move for me. I have enjoyed great times with Lille but the time is right now to test myself against the best and playing for Newcastle United in the Premier League does just that.

This.

Moving to the Premier League doesn't have to just be about joining the top teams and getting an easy pass to winning medals and so on. It can be about challenging yourself. Anyone who joins us can still play alongside the best players in the league on the pitch - even if many of them are just in different teams.

I like his attitude. He obviously wants to up his game in a new league and challenge himself.

I find it unsettling how they haven't assigned him a squad number, waiting for someone to leave so he can take theirs?

He had to be dusted down after fainting so the picture could be taken.

Bet Why Aye Cabaye's pleased, he can keep his username now!

Kudos to Pardew and the gang - brilliant acquisition! Credit where it's due.
