Nasri would probably have to force the move through like Heinze tried to do to us. I doubt he'd do that to the Arsenal fans, but then again I doubted Heinze would try it as well...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13729630.stm?utm_source=twitterfeeed&utm_medium=twitter bbc always seem to wait til there's actually something to write about so.... I reckon he'll sign a new contract or be sold. There's no way wengers letting him walk out for free
This would be hilarious if we signed him. I just think Wenger will dig his heels in and will not let him come to us. Why would he? He doesn't need the money and he will not want to strengthen one of his rivals. But after last season with Arsenal fans claiming he was better than anyone we had in our side, imagine if we poached him for ourselves. They could be our new feeder club..
If Nasri wants to come to us, Nasri will just reject other contracts from other clubs. Arsenal will then be forced to sell to us as he would walk away for free next year. How funny if we signed Nasri for 8m, I beleive he still no where near his peak yet!
How funny would that be if we got Cesc for around 35m. He would solve all our midfield problems, and is the next best thing from Iniesta,Xavi and Snejder.
I would die. Our first 11 would be sorted for the next 7 years! De Gea (probably) Rafael Jones Smalling Fabio youth player Cesc Valencia Rooney Nani Hernandez Amazing potential. Tbh take fabregas out and put modric/nasri/banega anyone else and it looks top quality still.
Cutting your nose of to spite your face it seems. If you can get £8mil and his wages of your books it is a better option than just letting him rot. I'm sure that nasri won't reject offers from other clubs if they come in for him. If the moneys right. RVF are you now resigned to thinking that nasri will leave in the near future?
If he went to you it would be hurting us anyway so I don't think we are above forcing him to stay. I think Nasri is doing a Rooney at the moment and so probably won't leave, however it is a dangerous game and if he pushes us too far then he may leave. This is very similar to the Adebayor situation so if he is poor next year then he may leave anyway!
Difference is Rooney is worth the money, without Rooney united won't have won the title this season, is Nasri as equally important to Arsenal?
Nope, but we have done all the hard work in making him in to a top player already so Wenger might feel that it would be a waste not to give him what he wants.
I would be shocked if he went to you guys. But as shown by Torres, there is not loyalty anymore. He hasnt exactly screamed for a new contract has he. Is this another player Wenger gets, turns good, refuses to pay market value wages, and they leave whilst Arsenal win nothing. Wenger needs to start dipping his hands in his pockets.
Id be surprised if he did go to United. A lot depends on where this is coming from. 1. Is Mr Nasri trying to up his wages like Adebayor? 2. Hyped up media speculation 2. Fergusons mind wars and that is more than a little worrying, i dunno i cant see Wenger being all that happy with the move.
With just a touch of number 2. Like I said before, I've seen no evidence that United actually have shown any official interest. All we have is quotes from a couple of United players, and vague rumours of unknown "intermediaries" having meetings. Some journo probably asked Nasri if he'd go to United, Nasri said maybe and so the rumour has run and run and run.
