    What the hell is this all about ha ha ha, Supermods and the boogy man looking out over comments, this sounds all a bit childish to me gave me a laugh though

    i read threads all the time and they go off topic n veer into tedium - but they never get modded and moved into a new topic that looks a bit mindless .
    I find merging threads is way more disruptive as it makes a thread unreadable
    I think its funny when people scream Merge ! as soon as they see a similar thread

    It has absolutely nothing to do with me and he's only done it so that dimwits can post comments like 'what's he doing on here' or '****wit/****' without having to think.

    All of my responses are either altered or deleted, as this will be.

    To be fair, we do tweak threads when there's a topic that people are deeply involved in so that it doesn't get disrupted. Generally I PM the poster to let them know why. Sometimes they feel they want to discuss it and try to do it on the original thread. Rather than do that, I sometimes create one like this so people can comment.

    The board belongs to the posters, not the mods. We're just cleaners, trying to let threads run smoothly without too much interference from us or others. I've absolutely no problem with people questioning what I've done, and I'm happy to hold my hands up if I've ****ed up. Sometimes though, there are issues beyond the single thread in question to consider though.

    None have been altered and only ones that were liable to cause disruption on an involved thread were deleted. Most of your posts are still there.

    This thread alone shows the validity of the rest of your post.

    Not one of my posts caused any disruption whatsoever and the other posters have been very friendly and polite, as have I been.

    Are you setting yourself up as the judge of what may upset other people?

    Don't you think people should be allowed their own opinion?

    You allow people to call me a **** and ****wit, shouldn't they be deleted as they may upset me?

    Who said it as because they upset people? I said it's because I felt they were liable to cause disruption on the thread. In that respect, yes, I'm judge and jury, based on what I feel the users of the board would find acceptable.

    I suspect anyone looking at this could perhaps see why I did it.
