Had my first training session today with my new 5-a-side team FC Dopenhagen. We're pretty bad.

Your 5 a side team is having training sessions? That's dedication! Will it last?

Love the team name.

We need training. We can't run for 40 mins at current. Gotta have a game plan as well to take advantage of our naive opponents! Everyone tries to play like Brazil in 5 a side. We will press and counter!

Can't be as bad as the team my team played the other week. We won 14-0 with our goaly scoring twice. One of their players stood in the same spot for a hour and didn't move.

I was the captain for the work 5-a-side football team (Borussia Munchonflapjack ha) for 2 seasons, for the first season we were absolutely awful. We lost every game bar one and finished bottom. 2nd season with pretty much the same players against pretty much the same opposition we won 9 and drew 1 (I hit the post with a penalty in that game, owch). Takes a while for people to learn how to play 5-a-side football I think!

But could you move? Ha

That's my normal five a side strategy, running is such effort.

Got a pretty sound strategy down, but it's going to be knackering at first.

1 centre-back/playmaker
2 wingbacks/midfielders (the fittest ones do this)
1 target man (I do this)

Back 3 when not in possession, look to win the ball and counter.

Sounds great until one person gets bored and starts chasing the ball, or the defender/playmaker tries a mazy run and a long ball forces your keeper into a one on one and he falls on his arse trying to get to it giving the other team an open goal. :(

He didn't even walk tho until it was half time and full time. Just stood there in one spot, the ref had to check if he was ok a few times.

Yes! I'm not a great footballer (read awful in everything but defense) but due to my fitness from cycling I can stay involved for 40 minutes without too much of a problem! We had to 'ironman' a few games and I was the only one left standing <laugh>. !e learned to play smarter rather though, let the ball do the work and all that!

On the train, just tried coming on here and it told me my IP was banned (on mobile?). Was worried I'd upset someone again.

The Daily Mirror are creaming themselves having found something to have a go at Luke Shaw about
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/luke-shaw-forced-remove-children-2799127

I thought that was a genuine gesture by him. I suppose he'll learn to keep his money to himself and then people will really love him. The lesson he will undoubtedly learn is that you can't win in those situations. It's echoes of the camel having more chance of passing through the eye of a needle than a rich man has of getting to heaven. There's no doubt Luke is already comfortably off and will be a very rich chappie before too long. He can't help but be that way. Unfortunately, that is the way of things in this world, and any gestures of this nature, I'm sure made with all good intentions, will inevitably come back to bite him.

Anyway, I understand he donated the money.
