They did indeed math, and I prefaced my comment that I wasn't haven't a go at your club (or arsenal). Just think it's bizarre that many clubs, not just yours, have mascots on the pitch during commemorative silences. I don't think any slight is intended, but it's a bit like having Ronald McDonald as the waiter to the Last Supper. Having said that, if only Da Vinci had painted it thus....:D

<laugh> Aren't they suing protesters in Australia where 90% of people don't want them restaurant in their town atm and according to McDonalds "it is for the protesters own protection we are suing them" meanwhile Chevron are suing the victims of their toxic waste dumping claiming the people who sued them "bribed" to get their successful judgement against Chevron. <doh>

West Brom have written to the Premier League and its match officials asking for video reviews of penalty decisions.

Baggies boss Steve Clarke was incensed by the awarding of a late penalty that allowed Chelsea to draw 2-2 with his team at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

In his letter, chairman Jeremy Peace sets out four occasions on which he says his team were unfairly penalised.

The club wants the option for referees to review footage to be debated at a Premier League shareholders' meeting.

In addition to the Chelsea game - in which Steven Reid was penalised for an injury-time collision with Ramires - West Brom claim they were harshly treated in matches against Southampton, Arsenal and Stoke.

Without those decisions, they maintain, they would be seven points better off in the league table - and in fifth place rather than 10th.

Peace has asked Mike Riley, head of the Professional Game and Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL), to explain the decisions.

So, West Brom want all penalty decisions replayed? Wonder if they included the one they got against us in that list as well? Don't remember there being an awful lot of difference between their pen and Chelsea's pen?

Matt, the point is that Luis seldom gets the penalties he's entitled too, let alone the ones he does his pantomime dives for. Did you see the one he was denied at Norwich last season, even though the ref was four yards away? The SAS should use it as an unarmed combat training video.

No-one denied Luis dives - ridiculously- and it's exacerbated by the fact that when he not even claiming a penalty he goes down hysterically when touched. But whereas Luis's dives to penalties given ratio is about 1-in-20, Young's is 1-in-4. And Luis is clearly denied more valid penalties because of his reputation than any other player in the league, and thus the self-serving propaganda and bias emitted by the press (the Mail even charts his dives on international duty for Chile against Argentina -what do those precious bastards need sympathy for?) and the MUFA/ref's syndicate.

Looks like Eriksen is out for 4-6 weeks. It's fair to say he hasn't been as good as many were expecting anyway, same goes for a few of their signings. Dave proven right thus far <ok>

  14. Three months into a season and you're writing him off <doh>

    Eriksen will become a star!

Where did I write him off?

  16. "It's fair to say he hasn't been as good as many were expecting"

Don't think too many people expected him to be ripping up trees within three months.

    1) I never said he wouldn't improve 2) I think it's fair to say a lot of people (including myself) had high expectations, and a lot of people argued on here with Dave when he said there signings wouldn't hit the ground running like people thought they would.

Still think Eriksen would link up great with Suarez and Sturridge, mind.

  18. Fair enough, crossed wires it is.

Nobody on here has praised Eriksen more than me and nobody on here wanted us to sign the lad more than me. I truly believe he will come good but I don't expect to see to much of it this season <ok>

i was one of them that wanted him here <ok>

didnt think he would hit the ground running mind but knew the potential was there, but new country and style of football esp pace of the game was always going to take time for him to adapt, just hope Spurs get impatient with him and sell him to us lol

    #2359
  20. I always want to see the best players in the Premier League so I still hope he comes good but yeah, pity its for Spurs <laugh>
