Swanselona, dilligaf was retaliating to swamp who has continually derailed threads today. While this may not be the right thing to do, I think it would be wrong to allow swamp to do so.

He has also started nine threads in the last forty minutes. But you won't have seen that as they have been removed.

 

Im well aware of what happened Ash, however I stuck up for KJ on the Cardiff board when he got banned for similar, and I would be a hypocrite if I didn't say the same here, sorry but thread derailing is a pain, but there is a way to go about it.

Saying you want a person banned, while insulting him and throwing abuse in his direction is not the way to go about it, I find that pretty hypocritical. Hence why I never asked Dai to be banned, as I couldn't, I sent abuse his direction, and would have been a hypocrite ifI had.

I had tried getting cardiff mods to treat home fans the same as away fans, so again I would be a hypocrite if I thought this was something I agreed with. I do not.

I have been a forum moderator on other sites, along with football related sites that have more members than here, and one thing I try, is to be equally hard on whoever it is that say something, I don't take sides, I don't think of it as home and away fans, each person is a memebr on a public board, ask the cardiff fans, I don't believe the cardiff forum is for them alone, notr is the swans one just for us, if we want a wum free forum, then there are other swans only options.

 

you call it derailing, i call it warning your members.... if the same happened on our board then i'd expect be grateful for the info as it would show that person was not suitable to be a mod.....

 

I made a decision based on what I read. What's happened in the past didn't influence the decision.

If people don't agree with my decision, I'm afraid that's hard luck.

 

P.s. I don't condone what was said to swamp, but by derailing threadshe knew he was going to get a bite.

 

FYI I never post on the Cardiff board and I couldn't care less what they do on there, it has no bearing on this board. A well known when came here looking for trouble and found it and that's the bottom line. If I posted on their board what the wum has done here I'd expect a ban from their board too.

 

The very fact he continues to disrupt shows you've made a good and correct decision. He is behaving like a spoilt little child having a tantrum. Well done Chico for taking decisive action. I don't like to see threads closed but perhaps you should consider it. The two mods have been picked anyway and it might be a way of cooling things down

 

Ah well I guess we will have to agree to disagree. He may have wummed, but you along with a few others are quick enough to hurl abuse at their direction, and the moment its sent back its "oh its time for a ban"

It is actions liek that from both sides of the fence that ended up resulting in almost no banter in the build up to the derby, because anyone say anything, they were told to **** off.

I am also fed up of the us and them attitude, and each having their own boards, this is a ****ing football forum. Not a bloody nursing home.

 

The thing is mate that Swamp knows full that myself and quite a few others can't stand him and that if he ventures on here to be careful what he posts. It's not the team he follows it's him as a poster and I openly admit I have zero tolerance of his rubbish. I'm not like that with people like Welshman and Aber or even Taff. I might argue with him but I govern told him to piss off for a while now.

The bottom line is that this is our board and he came looking for trouble, so we'll have to agree to disagree but I will respect your view on this
