Bit surprised they thought they could get him, to be honest, and even more surprised they were granted permission to talk to him by Tan. Reckon things are not at all well in Wales.

Looks like Petrescu is going to get the gig. Bit of a Hail Mary but, in a lot of ways, they've nothing to lose in their position.

If Mackays situation in Neanderthales was dire I reckon he'd have jumped straight over to Palace.

Agreed. He stays and he is minted if he is sacked.

Mackay is popular with Cardiff fans and has their backing even if he doesn't have Tan's. Is this the daily mail making assumptions because his mate is now at Palace? Anyway I reckon Dowie should get the Palace job :D

I hate to say it but the best option for them would be to persuade Curbishley back into management, although not for us

Not sure whether you're talking about the effect of this on Cardiff or Palace.

Frankly I'm not concerned about anything Palace do - they're going down, and if we're anywhere near them in May we'll be going down too. So I'm far more concerned about goings-on in South Wales. Whether Mackay going or staying is better for Cardiff (and thus worse for City)... it's hard to tell at the moment. But my gut says it would be good for us if he left Cardiff.

If Palace take Dowie it will be hilarious, but I'm waiting for Tan to sack Mackay and make his son the new manager. <laugh>

    BREAKING NEWS

Cardiff owner Vince Tan is to appoint his son Fake as Bluebirds' manager as soon as current incubent Malky Mackay loses his next game.

The Tan Man commented "He no lose game yet but when he do it's last straw! I want Mourinho no Scottish no-name, big star come Cardiff play Blubirds in red, all good, yes, yes, funny game English football in Wales, yes , yes my toy, I make decisons. My son big break, big personality, he like Messi, he like Ronaldo, I say no cash, we get Peter Crouch on free transfer maybe Stan Collymore big come back"

Asked if anybody with any football knowledge would be in charge of scouting, Tan replied "Fake Tan play FIFA 14 all night he make Cardiff Champions League number one he wins Barcelona 6-0 I trust my boy."

When pressed on a possible name change.. "Yeah I want make Cardiff Dragons, Bluebirds is meaningless, it's worthless, so is City, very common"

I suspected this may have been on the cards. Particularly as Palace have appointed Ian Moody as Sporting Director (recently sacked and replaced by a Russian work experience kid)

The uncertainty at Cardiff continuing is probably the best thing for us at the moment. What you want is MM to stay there until Christmas and then be replaced so that it unsettles their transfer window.
