Looks like your manager on the way down the M4 to Cardiff.
Betting suspended via ladbrokes, looks a done deal, sorry guys.
Wish i could say you can have Dave Jones, but he's too much money.

First of all learn to spell it right!!! Its Malky Makay!!! Second I very much doubt it as he is on holiday atm so wont be talking or signing anything untill he returns. Thirdly, and I know it usually means nothing in football but he and his assistant signed improved contracts not that long ago and he is very unlikely to walk out of that, he is too honest and has too much integrity to do that!!!

    Clearly this is rubbish.

We haven't paid Malky enough to be able to afford to go over the bridge.

Malky is one of very few managers with integrity and honour towards their club, he has a great relationship with WFC fans and is bringing some great talent through the ranks (hopefully he can find some more since DG and WB departing), he understands the situations at WFC and is doing a great job which he knows is secure. Why would he give that up for any other team with itchy trigger fingers to fire after a poor spell.

I very much doubt Malky will be going to Cardiff.

hmmmm i hope MM doesnt go and continues to show his talents with us and continue on with what heis building here,
Having said that i imagine morale may not be good with new owners with the sale of Danny etc as i doubt we will see much of the funds to purchase players with. so he may have hishead turned but as Si states the sheep jockys are in a much dire finacial situation than us

Can I just also point out that while some may find odds on us getting relegated at 9/2 is reasonably attractive, you can get 25/1 against Cardiff getting relegated. Worth a couple of quid I'd say.

At least 3 other bookies still have Robbins favourite along with MacKay, although Ladbrokes are usually pretty hot when it comes to football betting.

As for not being a WUM? Ok, I'll buy it. Would like to know how many players who featured against Reading in the play-off semi-final are still on your books though. Some of your supporters seem to think any new manager will have £20m to spend. Which local food suppliers aren't getting paid this time and which Prem club is going to heavily subsidise you?

Sorry, that is me very much being a WUM.

Cardiff have as much future prospects as WFC both clubs are skint difference is, Cardiff have been punching above their weight for a while now and without sustained financial input (which does not exist) I think there will be a exodus at Cardiff this summer.

I am not being childish! I am simply pointing out that Malky Makay is unlikely to be joining CCFC for the reasons i gave; he has integrity and has signed a contract. The only thing you offer him is a more dire financial position and the slim possibility of getting promoted next season. But to be fair WFC have a chance of doing that too and he has the backing of the board to do how he sees fit so cant loose, if we go up he is a legend, if we are midtable he is a genius, if we are relegated, oh well its realistic. Also we all know how unreliable the press can be!

I just can't see it happening, he's a loyal guy and has integrity, unlike someone else we all know about...

I'm not sure why he would leave anyway. Yes we've lost our star striker, one of our best prospects and our CEO in just 3 days, but his job should be (although we don't know what Baz will do next!) in no doubt and nothing is really expected of us next season. Even if we did go down I think sacking Malky then would be a mistake.

At Cardiff he would be expected to have a good season, yet at a club with (supposedly) little money and nothing like the squad which reached the play-offs last season. He would get more attention and press, but is that always a good thing?

As BHD said, if he steered Watford to promotion he'd be a club legend, at Cardiff he'd have done a job well.

Also, he lives near where I live and he has done for years. Must be happy.

Thanks Norway, and more good points Max. Like you say the expectations are just so much more realistic with Watford and he has as long as he needs to succeed, where as if CCFC were not promoted next year his head may well be on the chopping block even if he gets them to the play-offs. Dave Jones is proof of that, the board seem to want more than is achievable.

If Malky goes could we not make Graham taylor our manager, I think he is the only man I would be happy with replacing a manager that has done as well as Malky

however much i and the rest of us would probably love to see GT at the helm, he would never come back. He has had his time and is ok with sitting behind the scenes. I am more than happy with Malky who i am sure will work wonders with us next season even if we dont get promotion.
