I remember that! We used to sit and watch anything in them days.
I used to go around my nan and grandad's who lived in Abdale Road ( Next Road up from Loftus Rd. ) on a Saturday afternoon when the Ranger's were away. We used to sit and watch the wrestling. Twenty years later, my drum teacher was Kendo Nagasaki's manager. Lloyd Ryan.

The Saturday afternoons and Wednesday night Wrestling slots were always me and my dad watching the stars of that era with Kent Walton, 'Have a good week till next week'. We lived in Brixton where Dale Martin Promotions were based and regularly saw many of the wrestlers. Steve Logan lived in the next road to us...

That's like some of the comparisons they make on World's Strongest Man. There was one where they were chucking big heavy weights backwards over a high wall, and the comparison to make it more relatable to the viewer was it was like throwing a 28" TV (and this was in the days before flatscreen) over a bungalow as though we'd all tried that.

I clicked on the 'Post a poll' box but didn't give me the voting box list. It just went straight up as a normal thread. You can give it a go if you wish. <ok>

Anyone remember when the Big Match went all 80's and changed the music? It was the beginning of the end...
