Really - He's a quality player. great movement, vision and a superb finisher - kind of agree with the Arsenal or Man U comment but he is a very very good player "decent but not great" - in what respect? He scores goals and makes chances for people. He's like a new version of Niall Quinn IMO
A very good player but I can't see any of the so called bigger teams wanting him to supersede their strikers at the present.
I just think Fletcher overall game is decent pal. not one thing about his game is great. if it was he wouldn't be playing for us.
That's part of it, though. Van Persie for £24m or Torres for £50m? Not an issue. Both for £24m, who would you have? They might be better than Fletch, but not by a factor of 100%...
Aye, but we all live with the Bosman ruling. Liverpool paid silly money for Carroll and Hendo, but you have to look at how you spend your cash when you put a team together. You blow daft money on one player and the rest of the squad suffers and we got a very good striker for sensible money. Good buy IMHO. I would rather have RVP, but if it's either one RVP or one Fletch, one Giaccherini & one Altidore, then in squad terms, that's a no-brainer for me.
Charlie Adam. I'm convinced he'll come out when he's retired and say he was absolutely wired his entire career. 14 pints of smooth and a couple of Gary's before every game.
