As we've no game this week, does anybody fancy going along to support the Heed?

I think I'll go along and feed my habit.

Football Conference side Gateshead are appealing for Toon fans to lend support to a crucial double header at the International Stadium over the coming days.

Looking to maintain a recent upturn in league form, the Tynesiders host Salisbury City on Saturday in a 3pm KO and NUFC season ticket holders can again benefit from a season-long £5 discount on adult admission prices.

That reduces entry to £9 while a separate deal allows accompanied U16s in for £2. Pay on the gate and show your season ticket card to gain admittance.

Wednesday then sees the International Stadium welcome BT Sport cameras for live transmission of their FA Cup First Round replay against Oxford United - a 7.45pm KO.

At stake is a Second Round trip to fellow Conference side Wrexham and BT Sport confirm that they will also televise that tie, meaning a further cash boost for Gateshead if they can improve on last Saturday's gallant 2-2 draw.

And in an effort to boost the attendance, Gateshead are charging just £5 for adults, OAPs & students purchasing tickets for the Oxford game in advance.

Gotta hand it to Gateshead, they're trying to get people in.
Will go on Saturday if ok.

The Oxford cup replay next week is on BT Sport.

I had a dream, or I might have been hallucinating, not sure.
But when the Heed beat Oxford and then Wrexham, third round opponents will be the Mackems at the International Stadium with The Heed winning 1 - 0.
Starting as favourites against the mackems, result is only to be expected, and will send Poyet and co shuffling back to the land of the unwashed with tails between legs...

Support The Heed if you can.

I think there'll be one or two of us come along for that game if we don't have a fixture ourselves.
