Poor from the club this... Don't air your dirty laundry so publicly it may come back to bite you in the arse.
So what? Say "we've not got the stuff you asked for and it's all our fault"? There does seem to be an issue with the statement we've released though. It says we placed the order over a year ago, so lets say October 2012. At the time we were a Championship club getting gates of about 16,000 home fans. We're now a PL club getting home gates of around 22,000. As we've had a 40% increase in attendances it's fair to say we've had a 20%+ increase in merchandise sales, so this time last year did we place an order higher than we needed just in case we got promoted? Either we did, and by doing so risked being left with all the surplus stock if we didn't go up, or the order wasn't placed a year ago, it was pplaced in May when promotion was sealed. (ignoring the 3rd option that the club ****ed up by placing the correct order last year and then forgot to up it when we got promoted)
Nike is ****. No cachet anymore. I'd like to see Kappa. If not, Macron, who have assembled a decent portfolio of clubs now. Umbro - the best of the big players.
Who cares about kits anyway? They're only for kids and plastics. Proper supporters only watch the opposition fans and police/stewards anyway, so we don't even see the kit.
Nike or Umbro would be ace. OLM I hope that wink carries some weight. Would be delighted with umbro. If you look at our umbro kits. They were relatively fresh and different every year. And they produced the greatest kit we've ever had (bar maybe the 60 adidas one) as our 1st ever PL kit.
I don't know about that, last time the English went to war with the Germans it turned out alright in the end. (Adidas is German isn't it... I'm not thinking of the wrong company)
The Germans aren't all sweetness and light. He was also an ardent Nazi. His brother, who started Puma, in the same place, wasn't. Great story.
Who cares? If it says Hull Tigers on it, nobody will buy one anyway. The old duffer is not getting anymore money out of me than is necessary.
Yes, I am being serious. Our marketing is shyte. How come other well known clubs are not having the same problems as we are with this company? Maybe you could answer that with you well publicised knowledge. Also why have the club taken that statement about adidas off the OWS? Do you think that Adidas may have something to say about rubbishing their brand in public? Do you think it is anything to do with other brand companies looking at it and saying, balls to them, they like rubbishing companies, stay well clear. Wake up and smell the coffee. Also, have you noticed that all of a sudden since the rantings of our owner this week, HULL CITY AFC has been removed from the OWS front page and replaced with this bloody Hull City Tigers nonsense.
I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it. The OWS is ****e, but it's ironic it's www.hullcityafc.net I suspect we'll find out the Official FA position soon enough. I'm surprised who ever owns the Clubs website contract isn't pissed off with someone promoting, what is their business company name on the football clubs website. No matter what he tries, the name IS Hull City AFC.
Biggest load of made up bullshit ever. As a side, it's impossible to take some people on here seriously. They're all pissed off with Dr. Allam for bullshitting, then they go off and bullshit about him in return. The mind boggles.
