Could it be my home from home, Russia? Borders with Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Estonia, Norway, Finland, china and probably others.
It also borders with *****lia and other ex-Soviet Republic's to the South, Georgia, Kazakhstan etc....
Russia it is...and between yourself and finglasqpr you've managed all but a couple of the countries (the missing ones are North Korea and Azerbaijan). It's 14 countries in total. China also borders 14 different countries but I only spotted that once I'd set the question! Away you go woody..

Lasers could be right; they have the technology to scramble scenery now for cameras. This is being pioneered in parts of the Grand Canyon, you will have to pay to have it unscrambled and is going to be a major revenue raiser to upkeep scenic areas.
