We should be signing a promising french midfielder called Cabaye in the next couple of days. He's just broken into the French national side and we are picking him up for less than £5 million.
The swansea left back is another promising youngster. He had a really good season in the championship and helped to get his club promoted to the Premiership. Paying £1 million for him is not really a gamble. If he doesn't make it we can sell him back to the a championship side (where he has already proved he can play at that level) for a similar fee.

Gameiro has no intention of going to Arsenal, they have not been interested in him. You probably mean Gervinho who may go to them, but who knows.

The club are playing hardball with Barton and Nolan regarding the length of their contract extensions, neither wants to leave the club but we will have to wait and see. Cabaye could be a replacement for one of them. As for Enrique, it is looking increasingly unlikely that he will go to Liverpool now, Barcelona has been mentioned in the press and that would make sense, but once again it's a case of waiting to see what develops. If we make the right signings he may still sign a new contract but this is unlikely.

All in all I am reasonably relaxed and happy with developments at my club and the general direction that we are heading.
