"So it looks like our saviours have revealed their true colours. They wanted the club so they could get the ground and the land around it on the cheap. Now they can't they've got no interest in spending a bean and they want out. Why do we always get 'em? Come back Don Robinson!"
"Allams say they saved Hull City as a gift for the city of Hull. Very nice. So how about now doing the next best thing then by handing it over to us and leaving whilst they can ?"
I'm broadly in agreement with you, but even Don wanted his pound of flesh. The kits with red on he introduced were some of the worst in our history and the North stand replacement turned into a pipedream - or rather a supermarket.

If they wanted out why would they bother changing our name? To piss a few off? to degrade the club? If you want out, you sell. They may have ulterior motives, like many business men but I doubt they want to get out.

Pointless post. Craig's poll is clear. It isn't about whether we wanted them in the first place or wish they hadn't come. It's do we want them to leave now. I agree with this in terms of it just being Assem that is the problem. I think Ehab is a lot more reasonable but unfortunately not bothered about football and probably won't ever run the club for any length of time. I don't see why people are having trouble with the poll. It's simply do you want him to stay or go? We know he does want to change the name so that should be taken into account unless you think it won't happen in the end. Either way it's just opinion, do we want him to stay or go? That's how I read it anyway. Click on the number 7 and it shows you. Although it's more than that now.
Of course we want the Allams to stay. They have delivered Premier League football (ahead of schedule) and we have a manager and team to be proud of who have every chance of keeping us in the top flight. What we need to do through sensible negotiation and conversation is to convince Mr Allam senior that changing the name of the club is neither desirable nor necessary
So did Duffen. But no one attributes the success of that time to him do they? Why does everyone credit the Allams with getting us promoted?
There were far more important people in getting us there, such as Bruce, Agnew, Clemence, Bertschin, Stockdale, Amos, Jakupovic, Chester, Hobbs, Faye, Bruce, McShane, Rosenior, Dudgeon, Elmo, Brady, Meyler, Quinn, Koren, Evans, Cairney, Boyd, Gedo, Aluko, Simpson and Proschwitz. You don't see other clubs saying owners got them promoted. It's manager and players. When we were average in the Championship it was because Pearson and Barmby were ****, no one blamed that on Allam. Yet when we get promoted it's all because of their influence?
How is it different to 2008? In both cases we got promoted with a decent team, great team spirit, a few heroes on the pitch and a great management team while the owner eventually turned out to be a total loon. What's the difference?
Is there any way we can edit our votes? If the thing about taking down the play-off photo showing the Hull City AFC name from the KC is true, I'd be inclined to vote the other way and wish them adieu.
