AA is not claiming to break new ground, he has repeatedly said that it is proven that a short name has more impact. He has ridiculed the club's historic name and he has adopted a level of superiority only second to your good self. Winning strategies evolve from the clever use of resources and environment, but you can also count in the weaker strategy of your opposition. Clearly AA has a real grip of his resources, as his right hand man is struck dumb, his general is leaving to progress a life away from AA and his troops have rallied . . . . against him. What about environment? Is that the world of football where he is making himself a laughing stock and a loose cannon in the eyes of the authorities; or perhaps it is the world of professional marketing where the only comment has been to criticise his tactics. But what about the opposition, then? To be fair he had that one bang to rights, he sees the likes of you and your ilk for the gullible fools that you are. Maybe you have a bit of a point, after all.
he has berated me for weeks saying an NDA would not happen .. I told him it would .. and it has happened .. a bit of humility from a mod would not go amiss ... and maybe a lesson that you need to listen to people who know more about things than he does .. its not aggressive .. its simply holding hands up and saying yes I was wrong .. no need for you to stick your overly aggressive oar in ..
I've read some **** in defense of Allam on here, but nobody else has gone so off tangent in their rambling, obfuscating attempts at excusing the old ****'s actions as to bring up 600-year-old battles. As for your suggestion that nobody else has tried changing their name... you're absolutely right. Nobody else has done it, and that's because they realise it's not worth destroying the football club in a kamikaze mission just to try and make a point to a council that don't give a ****. If the name changes, what exactly is it you're supporting next season? Some paperwork and a business that happens to own a 'golden share'?
An NDA would be futile anyway. Even with a legal agreement the people at the meeting were representing other fans, so it would be perfectly acceptable for them to inform those other fans of what was said. By the time it was circulated to the 4,500 who'd signed the petition (and were therefore being represented by somebody at the meeting) it would be uncontainable. Not having mutually agreed on what to disclose and not wanting to provoke the other side is a seperate matter entirely.
To be fair, I'm on your side but I've just read your posts again in the voice of a squeaky-voiced **** I was at school with and fallen about laughing
so why edit it ? .. because you have been told to leave out stuff ? ... that is a NDA .. sorry to rain on the parade ... otherwise print the minutes .. simple way to prove me wrong
Sometimes you do a great job of rambling on without achieving any point whatsoever. My point still stands, the two scenarios are completely different. The end goal may be the same, yes, but the way of achieving it couldn't be less alike than Steven Hawking and a cabbage. Just because the big clubs have automatically gained huge global support on the back if their success at the highest level doesnt mean anything else won't work, that's what your logic is. There's not only one way to do everything, and just because big clubs haven't done it doesn't mean it won't work.
If a short name is more easily marketable what is the reason for York City, MK Dons and Halifax not being more marketable than long names like Manchester United?
Silly question. You can't market a football club globally without global exposure. Seriously, who would choose to support a team from overseas which they can't even watch?
So there are other factors other than the shortness of the name which determine marketability? Thanks for agreeing that Pappa is talking nonsense. As much nonsense as saying the British fought at the battle of Agincourt.
No wonder they sacked you. The nda you claim they put on you, was probably to stop you breaching your contract even further and losing your employer contracts. If an nda was in place, it's already been breached many times with the summmarys of the meeting that are all over the web. Seems to be the proof you've been asking for.
You having a laugh? CTWD were on Twitter seconds after the meeting finished posting direct quotes from Allam. OLM posted loads of it on here too. Allam obviously didn't like that but he hasn't been able to do anything about it. There was quite clearly no gagging agreement signed. The club has just refused to publish certain bits of the minutes. That's a bit different from gagging. I'm going to have to compare you to Hutch_Tiger again, because this attempt to claim you were right all along when something happened which was vaguely similar to what you said would definitely happen (but not very similar at all really.) I've been pretty scathing in calling his bullshit, if I was wrong I'd definitely apologise. See above. You were nowhere near right.
Since when did that revelation come out? I could swear Henry the 5th and Edward of York were English...
