Not a spelling mistake it is a slang/turn of phrase/I don't know what the proper word is, that is used in Durham.
No it isn't, I'm from Durham and people don't use that phrase. They say they're gutted I've never heard anyone use the word guttering for anything but drainage in my entire life. "It was guttering when we lost yet another derby match."
We tend to get a few of these nowadays. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image But I really don't mind
With you on the shirts thing like Sid. Last one I bought was a Reg Vardy one & I sent that to Roger's African team. Never been one for it even as a kid although I will confess to buying for the bairn.
I'd be absolutely fine with it. I've got a black cat tattooed on my chest not the clubs badge to be honest they're still the same club...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24930477 They're just swapping one recently made up name for another so I can't see any protests. The comments by Sam Rush, the Derby chief executive, can be translated as, "We've paid lip service to the supporters, spoke to a couple and totally ignored what they had to say." What he actually said was, "Over the last 10 months we have talked about this with supporters extensively," "We have done a lot of tours and generally people have been supportive." "People will have their views but I hope fans will be supportive and understand why we have done it." Perhaps supporters, of whichever club, should publicly vote & adopt their own 'pet name' for their stadium and use it in forums, real life, etc. (Just as people have real names and not606 usernames.) That could carry on through various name changes and everyone would be happy.
