http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/story-20065482-detail/story.html ... he needs to sort himself out on the bookings front ... most of his bookings stem from petulance and we really can't afford to lose his creativity.
Ritchie De Laet will be back though As good as Moore has been at right back I prefer De Laet as attacking wise he is alot better.
I'd be tempted to try RDL on the right wing. He's very quick, very direct with a decent cross and would be good defensively too. Only other options are GTF, Dyer/Schlupp on the right cutting in or back to the 3-5-2.
Either 3-5-2 with RDL and Schlupp at wingbacks or 4-4-2 with RDL at Right Mid with Moore and Konch as Fullbacks. If Knocky was going to miss a game then Ipswich away is the type where he's less effective.
I would go 532 now Schmeichel Moore Morgan Wasilewski De Laet Schlupp Hammond James Drinkwater Vardy Wood
I agree with your selection Proud but I can't see Nugent or King being dropped regardless of their crap form. I though Moore was probably the only player who played well on sat and knocky showed some classy touches.
I'd probably go with Proud's line up too ... my only slight concern is that the midfield 3 are quite similar ... nobody there who wil actually take it past a man .... with that in mind, Lloyd would be an option later in the game when the legs are getting tired ...
i cant see it being anything but 4-4-2, GTF wont play 90 mins. You know who would fill in on the right wing ..... The more difficult decision for Pearson will be the back 4. Schmeichel De Laet Moore or Wasilewski Morgan Schlupp or Konchesky Nugent Drinkwater King Dyer Vardy Wood
Wouldn't be surprised if Pearson sticks Drinkwater out to the right and brings James or Hammond into the centre. I don't think GTF is going to be used as a winger in a 4-4-2, at least I hope not, I like them a little more pacey than that! He's not going to make drastic changes, and I'd have to agree with him. I'd like to start seeing Wood and Vardy paired together a bit more, maybe with Nugent in behind (if he picks up form!), I think they could make a nice small man/big man combo.
He started very well but struggling past few games IMO King needs to be dropped every so often to give him a kick up the arse else he starts to cruise a little Matty James was superb against Fulham and King hasnt really performed aswell as he could have recently
Big ask getting Wood to play, playing for NZ on the Thursday in NZ. Could be time for GFT to get a start.
Personally thought King was one of our best players against Watford. Him and DD ruled the midfield and completely controlled the game.
@JasonBourne1986: I see Chris Wood has picked up a yellow card for New Zealand which means he misses next week's second leg. Back at #lcfc sooner perhaps?
@RobTannerMerc: @officialcwood and NZ face an uphill task to reach World Cup after 5-1 first leg play-off defeat in Mexico. @RobTannerMerc: @officialcwood is also out of the second leg in Wellington after being booked early on #lcfc
