There should be an option for Hull City AFC, but will keep going to watch Hull Tigers. The results of this could be falsely represented to be anti-allam.
The majority of people dont care one way or another what the team is called if these so called poles are to be believed. FFS, as an example of a pole.... Solihull has just been voted the best place to live. Who did they ask, the homeless by chance ?
I'm abstaining as I agree totally with this. Obviously I, as would the vast majority of long standing City supporters, prefer to retain our name as it is. Let's face it, when we go to the game, we're off to see City, not Hull, not Tigers, but City. But, again like most, if you cut me I bleed black & amber, and would not stop supporting the team because of a name change. Whilst they play within the boundary of Hull they represent the people of Hull, no matter what they are called, like it or not, they are my team and there will never be another for me. Sorry if that's not you want to hear Lambo, and I'm pretty sure it's not.
stand up for yourself. prove you're in a silent majority. you believe you're in the majority, the protesters believe they're in the majority. once and for all, let's find out which way the majority thinks. it's not invalid to worry that the protests will drive allam away and leave the club broken again. it's not invalid to think it's a relatively small price to pay for a healthy future. there are other valid standpoints. at the end of the day there is bugger all logic involved in this so it has to go on feelings. all the second option says is "i don't mind if". be a man and click one.
Hull City AFC. Looks good, sounds good, it's got history and has been around for 109 years. It is the last remaining constant in our clubs history and yet some would give it up in a flash in order to join Allam in searching for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! The very idea that changing the name is going to reap huge financial fortunes is laughable and yet some have clearly got so engrossed in this so called fortune they have forgotten why they follow City. Following your team is exactly that - ITS YOUR TEAM! I have done it for over 30 years and don't remember a time when City was not a big part of my life. MY TEAM is not a franchise and if that's what it becomes it is dead. You either understand these sentiments or you do not. And I think understanding this is what devides the people on opposite sites of the argument.
disquiettiger - I would not be confident about the PL or FA fighting the corner of a percentage (note how have not given a size) of a club's fans, I hark back to the time when each season the club wanting to enter the football league from the conference had to get enough votes to replace the bottom side from Division 4 - and guess what the league clubs all stuck together knowing that next season their club could be fighting for a league place. Hence if all the PL clubs stick together on the name change, then in a few seasons a different club can get what they want to through on a vote. Sorry if that is long-winded and makes no sense to some people
i don't think it's that straightforward. some fear the allams will take umbrage and remove the money and cripple the club. others think it's a small price to pay for success. some think allam can do what he likes. i myself think changing the name will reap no financial benefit and i've heard nobody other than allam claim it's a ticket to riches. some say we will lose all the history and tradition or identity. i certainly think it will confuse or alienate people in other countries who have latched onto us already and i think on-field success is the only way to develop a football brand. some people fear a return to the horrors of the 1990s more than a tweak to the name. these fears may or may not be invalidated or calmed by debate and logic especially when allam comes over as irrational in interviews to such an extent that it's easy to see why people fear he might take his money away, even if he can't get it all back. but if it comes to name-calling and insults, as always that only drives people onto the defensive and does not win arguments.
Before conclusions are drawn from this thread can olm tell us how many would constitute a majority. After the way OLM deemed himself able to represent my views at a meeting I am concerned that conclusions may be jumped to in this instance. I personally will go with the choice of AA at this stage after the effect he has had on our fortunes.I trust him every bit as some of the anti brigade and he HAS delivered. I am pleased that people are expressing their feelings about some of the remarks made towards AA.I do not think he is a saint but I am impressed with what he has achieved in his short time at the helm.
Priceless olm, just priceless-could you imagine someone hijacking polls/votes/opinions.Whatever next.

You're turning into nearly as much of a whinging tart as Craig. Wind your ****ing neck in and post on the topics, rather than the posters.
