If Coleman & Mirallas are on their game, then he could have a torrid afternoon.

If you defend deep, then you could well keep him quiet. If your backline look to press up near the halfway line, then I'd be scared, as he's got the pace & power to rip you to shreds with plenty of grass ahead of him.

  4. Toure and Sakho have pace and power too so it depends on who plays.

I still think both players add depth and quality to this team. Without Moses, we would be relying on Ibe and Sterling who are simply not ready.

Moses has also played as the number 10 which isn't his best position.

As a short term solution, both are decent and cheap options. I'm sure we'll get better in January or summer.

And I want to start with Sakho - Lukaku is a real handful and Sakho is the only defender that can compete with the physical players.

  8. Without doubt, I just think they aren't quality first team additions, they are decent temporary squad players.

Quality in the sense that they are improvements on the previous back up options i.e.

We didn't have a back up left back, so Cissokho is already an upgrade lol.

And Moses is better than Sterling and Ibe.

Ross Barkley is also a good player and will be up for this game. I have a feeling this will be a cracker.

Ross is a tremendous prospect, but is still very raw.

His decision making is still often poor - passing when in a great shooting position & vice versa.

He IS capable of producing something sublime though & he's an ardent Blue, so he'll be right up for it.

  12. Barkley will enjoy this game if used correctly. Our midfield doesn't pick players up, we don't track the runners and therefore we leave space inbetween defense and midfield.

Don't worry - we have Steven Gerrard who can ping a couple of long balls perfectly so all is well <ok>

P.S I'm in an angry mood! Ignore me!

I'm not sure he'll start tbh. A lot might depend on how he fairs for England over the next 2 games. If he starts & stars, Martinez will find the pressure to play him from the off harder to ignore. If he's only peripheral, then Osman might keep his place.

Who could forget his lung busting 60 yard sprint & knee slide at the end of the same fixture last season?

    <laugh>

One of the funniest derby incidents I've seen (nothing will ever touch the Imre Varadi pie in the grid like)
