At the moment, I don't want him to leave and I will happily slag him off here or to his face. Do I want him running the club long term? No. I have more respect for Martin Fish.
That's not fact though is it? The 'vote' options for a start are ****e. I voted go, but only the old man to step down. He can't perpetually behave in the manner he does.
I am extremely grateful for Mr. Allam and everything he has done to rescue the club and help get us to the Premier League. If he left now the club would be in turmoil, something none of us want, so that's why I want him here now. His actions and reactions over the name change suggest to me that long term he will not be good for the club. Dictators are always popular when things are going well. If someone like Adam Pearson had suggested the name change, do you think he would go about it in similar fashion? Do you think he might have suggested it in such a way that proper discussion and research could be had? Do you think he would have been so disrespectful to his customers? My gratitude to Mr. Allam no longer extends to respect, he has admitted that he knows nothing about football, and he has divided the fans on an uneducated whim.
There you go again, you have come up with a poor idea in the form of a badly considered poll and then you continue to use it to intimidate and heckle others. I know this post is pointless, as another trait of AA is to ignore others and shout them down; you're doing well, Craig, you AA apprenticeship is moving along nicely. Can I suggest as a next stage of your progression to being a bombast, that you try walking away from posts giving the appearance of control, call the club other than it's real name and, maybe, change your name to CIN, in, or Notts. Or maybe all three might work together.
Anyone who thinks the Allams are bad for City want to get a grip. When we were relegated under Dowie I looked forward to Tuesday nights away at Scunthorpe and Tranmere. Just like the bad old days. A downward spiral beckoned (See Portsmouth AFC) We are a different club to the one we used to stand on the terraces at Boothferry and watch. Football has changed, thankfully we have adapted and changed with it. Think about it... Tom Huddlestone or Craig Lawford? ( No offence Craig) Curtis Davies or Stuart Ecclestone? (No offence Stuart) Yannick Sagbo or Stuart Young (Ditto) Lets go back to the skint happy days under Dolan , Grimsby two leagues above us. Worst Team in Yorkshire or Best Team in Yorkshire? For me it's a no brainer. If it upsets you that much I believe there is a Conference side that play in stripes just over the bridge, go watch crappy players there. Wear your black and amber with pride and get behind the lads.
I have always thought you a humorous and irreverent poster, but it is clear I was wrong; you're a bit of a dick really, aren't you.
I'm afraid you lost me with the last bit, but I haven't intimidated or heckled anyone. All I said was; " I imagine some of those who have slagged him off for weeks will (vote) ... If they have the guts to stand up and be counted." ... No doubt they will.
I've taken nothing. I have given almost 50 years and many thousands of pounds. That doesn't make me any better or worse than any other City fan but it should mean that I am offered some respect from the club owner.
You are. You're happily taking the club being saved from financial ruin. You're taking the success we've had off the back of it. You're taking the funding Allam is providing to give the club success and keep it afloat at the same time. You go on to say you want to carry on taking all that until the club is financially viable, thanks to him, and then you want him to just **** off.
I'm taking nothing. I'm paying for the privelege along with everyone else. I never said I wanted him to f*** off, I said I don't want him here long term. If he doesn't give a flying one for me then why should I worship him as you appear to think I should?
