Quite surprised nobody snapped him up, he must be getting a decent wage and I doubt he had a relegation clause in his contract (or any of the other Wolves players) as they probably weren't expecting to get relegated 2 years running. Tom Ince wouldn't be a bad shout. Suso at Liverpool is doing pretty well at Almeria, but it's a season long loan and I doubt Liverpool would want to sell.

    I'd consinder any of:

Lee, Eagles (Both Bolton), Pitroipa (Rennes), Maxi Kruse (Monchengladbach) or, if we really want to push the boat out, Sidney Sam at Leverkusen.

When is the right time to bring up a striker? This post is nothing to do with Southampton, it's 7 weeks to the transfer window, surely SB is actively looking, considering options, particularly with Aluko and Brady injured. So good time to speculate and discuss?

I think Chris Eagles is a bit too 'George Boyd' - good technically, but not a great deal of pace.

True, but he's been on great form for Burnley so I think he'd be worth a go. Maybe we could look in South America?

We might get Defce on loan with this being WC year but Spurs fans feel that he will move to the MLS in the summer. A big offer has been made to him.
Agreed on Livermore and that looks almost sorted from what has been said.

Yes it was funny as was Spurs finishing on the day. Shame that Spurs had to do without Michael Oliver. Lol.

No we are not. Well not for £5m. Long will be alot cheaper than that in January.

Graham was not fit enough fior the Spurs cup game as was proved. As for Saints he was brought on way too late.
Graham has been working very hard all season.

Defoe?<laugh> I can't work out whether you're joking or not.

You clearly didn't read what I put properly, I said we nearly signed him in the last transfer window for over 5 million. Not we're gonna sign him for 5 million. If he carries on the form he was in on Saturday we won't be getting him at all.

What does Kolbeinn Sigþórsson have to do with Spurs? He plays for Ajax? Are you thinking of Gylfi Sigurðsson?

I think you may be a disappointed man after reading your comment about Kane. I understand that we are after signing Livermore on a perm deal freeing up a loan posn and that loan maybe Harry Kane.

No, he really isn't very good. I didn't rate him at Leicester either.

What's Chris Eagles got to do with Burnley? He plays for Bolton?

    fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...y-scare-freak-accident-Scotland-training.html

Jordan Rhodes suffered an injury scare and fears he may face a lengthy lay-off after hobbling out of a training session with Scotland.

There were initial fears the prolific Blackburn striker may have sustained a leg fracture in a freak accident that cut short his work-out with Gordon Strachan's squad and led to a series of tests by Scotland's medical team.

It is thought he has suffered only soft tissue damage despite fears that there may have been a fracture. Rhodes has been sent back to Blackburn for a scan, amid concerns he may face a prolonged spell on the sidelines.

His place in the squad to face the Americans and Norway next Tuesday has been taken by Ross McCormack, with the Leeds United forward added after a stunning four-goal performance against Charlton at the weekend.

It also says 'a lengthy layoff'.

    I ain't taking no chances.

Still want him though, even if his leg is broken he'd improve the attack no end...

Soft tissue could turn out to be a cruciate ligament injury.

Where did you get this from Sunn?

I honestly can't see it happening, he neither fits the bill as being a replacement for Aluko or a much needed striker. I've never been impressed with what I've seen of him, which is admittedly not an awful lot, but I'm sure AKCJ would support that view, he never really tore up the championship so I can't see him doing it in the PL.

Only just noticed this, but looking back through HDM's paper talk section, this appeared on Tuesday:

    Anyone know about him?

I think they'd say if it was his knee because that's obviously a serious injury.

    Surely just a loan?

He's a very exciting player. Very quick, tricky and direct.

Was awesome in the U20 World Cup.
