In my opinion JA writes drivel, as I showed in the examples above.

Moreover, the way he writes it is intensely off-putting, both for those already using the site and for those considering joining.

If you genuinely enjoy reading his contributions then fine, go and read them on other parts of this forum. But I've just glanced quickly through this thread and more CAFC fans approve of the ban than oppose it. Are all our opinions 'warped'?

 

All getting a bit much on here. I always thought it was a bit thankless being a moderator, but now we have fans of other clubs migrating in to give abuse, and dodgy pictures of frogs. I originally said we should give JA a chance, and it did'nt exactly give me heartburn to read he was lining up a deal to buy Charlton, though I hope EatmyHole is'nt the buyer! Still, if the decisión is 'No Ackers', then the moderators are who have to deal with it.

Anyway, sounds like he'll be welcome on the Leeds board!

Just had a look at Ackers ring fenced thread over on I.T.V. It is vintage stuff. He is obviously following this thread because he has posted a message to our two much loved Mods...

The situation as you describe it is perfectly obvious. You pulled the trigger and are glorying in doing it. Don't bother responding, various responses already given already tell anyone reading this thread all they need to know. Perhaps the poor guy is better without you.

the other quotes that point to the one you selectively picked being a load of tosh. Enjoying the notoriety and power are dangerous things for a mod to do. In a rare moment of clarity the mod has accepted they haven't covered themselves in glory. For one of them to go on ITV and goad ja on there is disgraceful.


As you point out it's not my fight, if you guys want to persecute the little guy good luck with it. One day someone will do it to you.

 

This is now getting quite tedious. We have Ponders quiting the forum some 500 posts ago and he goes on. (Including other threads) We have Vol continuing to believe he is right and the the rest of the world supports CP whilst other club fans now come on supporting JA spamming the Charlton Forum. Rightly or wrongly ( rightly in my view) the mods have made their decision, can we just move on now. I will be.... away from this thread.

Who would possibly want to be a moderator on here? Apart from (I think) Typical yesterday, I rarely hear a Word of thanks for the job, without which there's no fórum. So no offence Glory Hunter, but could you stop lashing them about how they are? It's been pages of it now, and the thread is'nt really going anywhere.

Who would be a moderator? Someone with too much time on their hands, chips on their shoulders and deep seated popularity issues if you mean on here.

Poor super and Tewksbury have been nailed for this, when in truth I think they were trying to protect the integrity, and free flowing nature of this forum, even perhaps john himself . Poor Ackers has to read on here that he is odd, bonkers, one loaf short of a picnic etc, that is upsetting for anyone and something that I honestly believe that super has addressed privately with JA. None of us are qualified to make a email diagnosis of JA save to say he is a honest, interesting and almost adorable character that wants to be heard. His interview with Frankie Fraser tells us more about JA than Frankie himself..

A lot of people quite rightly or wrongly can't work him out or be bothered. I can't, because he is smarter than I am in many ways. JA is unique, perhaps a shocking self publicist, more likely, a chap that has never had anyone listen to him at length, and will jump from subject to subject to feel part of a crowd, to start a conversation, an be included in it, to be liked and respected is what JA really desires. I think we all need that sometimes. JA more than most.
