It goes back to my post, that whilst I accept personal insults, I won't accept notions me and tewkes are who you've made us out to be.

Besides, you would be surprised who JA is on terms with. He is able to count pop stars, actors, writers and socialites as associates.

In all honestly, I think you have banned JA to ensure an easier job of moderating the site.

You say you will not rescind your comments, which means you consider me to be posting bullshit and also to be a hypocrite.

You won't have any members if you don't get ur head from up ur arse. A sizeable number of your diddly little fora will leave probably to ja606 and all you will be left with is two or three people who share your views on everything. Your fora will be tumbleweed by Christmas if you keep alienating the punters.

What I like about this forum is that all the posters on it are intelligent people who make their points well. I don't doubt JA's intelligence but my heart sinks every time I see a post of his, with his lack of sentences etc.

I am indeed someone who likes high standards of discourse. I wouldn't go so far as to leave the forum if he were allowed back, but I think it would be worse off for his presence. Just my view.

It bothers me because he is being persecuted by an anonymous few. Some of who are nothing more than intellectual snobs unable to grasp that others are less fortunate than them. If the mods are listening to you it explains everything.

I would be ashamed to be as lacking in compassion as you appear to be. But at least you outed yourself and it's clear what you are.

This thread shouldn't descend in to a war. So don't call captain BA out on anything, as he's a mainstay and sharing an opinion. Likewise I don't Want Vol bring called out. There is a middle ground, but we've yet to discover it .

I have never once spoken in private with the mods here, as Super and Tewkes will confirm if needed. I don't think I've had any influence at all on the decision to ban him.

I think JA's presence makes this forum worse because, IMO, he mostly writes drivel, as in the examples above. If he has personal issues then I'm sorry for him, but I prefer this forum without him. As I said though, if he is allowed back I won't stop posting.

There is a very real possibility that Acworth is dyslexic to a certain degree, like many creative people he appears manic and his punctuation and spelling may not be great but he still tries to put his point across.
He is not an offensive poster and probably lives a far more interesting life than most people on here myself included.
I fear that the Moderation team will feel as if they caved in or somehow lost by allowing Acworth back and this is a very sad state of affairs....

 

As several people will confirm, I am clued up on the situation. A brief re-read of comment will show that.

If people want to criticise, then that's for me, and tewkes. Don't come on to a Charlton forum and accuse our members. Some will understand our decision, some wont. I've read enough forums to comprehend you can't always get it right. But don't anyone cr and insult our members. Whether we share the same opinion or not. Yes ponders, I even include you on this.

 

It was a joke surprised your higher intelligence didn't get it.
But your earlier posts say more about you than I or anyone else could.
There is no need for me to further point out you pomposity.

You are a mainstay and it appears your warped opinion carries more weight than ja or fellow charlton fans who think he has been wronged. The two mods have made a stance and I feel now fear a loss of face. Sometimes the better person says I got it wrong. Mods think about it.

How does that work?
You seem very happy up there on the moral high ground, here is a suggestion why not open up the ja ban to a vote and only count charlton supporters. Pending the result you could unban him and let him prove himself, or do you think you would lose?
