I don't think anyone actually confirmed it, I think it was just rumours, so it probably won't!

Well, we need someone who is adept at playing the lone striker role with a player behind him in the free role. Not really sure who out there fits the bill right now.

would you guys prefer something like we had like an andy carroll/ameobi role who holds up play orrrrrr a rooney and hernandez type strike force.

personally id love the latter as it would appeal to a better playing style with forwards, wingers and cm's playing together, plus a quick forward would leave so much space for ben arfa to cause havoc (like rooney does)

Does anyone think that Leon Best could be one of our top strikers next year?

    ...

    Nope, just me then <laugh>

Best is good, far better than Strolla. He's the only one of our present strikeforce I want us to retain.

    This.

Kolbeinn Sigþórsson, Solomon rondon, Daniel Sturridge or Papiss Cissé.

Totally agree. Best is our current BEST striker(no pun).

  9. I think Rondon and Sturridge together would be a good upfront pair.

In my opinion, we need 3 good strikers, 2 decent back ups.

Rondon, Sturridge and Best - 3 good strikers

We have one good back up in Lover, who works hard and IS effective with a good partner.

But then we have that lazy **** Shola. I suppose he's worth keeping, if only for the derby games.

I'd also take Welbeck off the Mancs.

#wages #transfer fees.. doubt we'll get both Sturridge & Rondon, although that would be amazing! Two talented young strikers with very good potential.

Welbeck? Hmm not too sure, dependent on how much the would want for him.

In terms of Shola, I think we should lock him in a cage and have a radio on loop of Sunderland fans slagging him off so that when the Derby comes around he will be even better than normal; if we played the Mackems every weel he would be a Balloon D'Or Winner!

I personally feel that Sturridge wouldn't work as a lone striker.

Hm, not sure sturridge would take a step down from his 75K a week wages to join us, best we could hope for is probably a loan. With which many people are against loans.
