    does anyone have any recommendations for some good android apps/games
    is there one you couldn't live without any help appreciated


    oh yeah there's the not606 app <ok>
    and i know about twitter/facebook/ebay/google maps/navigator
    always found poynt a good one




    i know this is unrelated to footie but i have made this clear in the title and i have posted this in other places ebar etc. in vain

    I have skysports football, just like a vidiprinter for the goals when the matches are on. Simple but quick for checking the scores if you can get good enough signal.
    I also found Poynt quite good too, when looking for a hotel and things like that.
    I also have something called flixster, it just tells you whats on at the cinema and finds the closest cinemas to you to show you show times.
    I use Shazam for when I hear a song on the radio which I don't know, it tells me who it is and what the song is (also good for pub quizzes)
    The weather is also one I use, but then again when is the weather forecast ever right!

    Sportacular is very good. you choose which teams you'd like to follow and when they are playing, it sends you free notifications of scores and half time and match end etc. tis a good app indeed!

    gesture search - is a good one
    ringdroid
    sky+ - to record stuff when out
    barcode scanner - a good un will tell you where cheaper alternatives are (works with google shopper)

    edit: quick desk how the hell did i forget this one use it the most <doh>

    I use Soccer Score Centre for goal alert etc, used it for about a year without any problems looks like a Sky Sports app, but it's not and it's free...

    If you like running / cycling / walking etc, then "My Tracks" is great - It marks the route you've taken when your out and about, then shows you total distance, fastest speed ,average speed, and inclines climbed etc - The map and info can be uploaded to Google Maps and shared, or exported to Excel - Great if you cycle or are in training!

    Unblock Me is a good game for wasting a few minutes too...

    You need the lost phone app- will enable you to do three things (with a coded text to the phone) should the phone be misplaced:
    1- turn profile to normal and volume to max (in case its on silent)
    2 - give you a GPS readout of the phones location (accurate to 4 meters) where you should be able to hear it ring
    3 - if the phone is stolen lock the phone to use (until unlocked by pre-determined password) GPS read out and normal profile full volume. If sim card replaced then the phone is locked and the same happens but this time the phone number of the rogue sim is set to 3 buddy numbers entered into the app.

    This app has saved my phone several times. Many trying to find it on silent, couple of times left in a bar and once stolen at a festival.

    Its free also, get it!

    fun for a minute maybe, but an insult to the capabilities android software (especially carried on HTC phones) offers

    First ever post cos usually just browse! Anyone with android should download Akinator! Free app that guesses any character from tv/movies. Literally will confuse you as to how it gets it. For example it got Geoff Keegan from byker grove!

    sorry to bump this again but found this and have been using it for a few days and think it's worth sharing

    Newcastle utd unofficial

    this is a must have for toon fans if anyone uses http://geordies.net/ this app is very similar to it if not better (even if you don't use geordies.net it's a must have)it has everything toon blogs/twiiter feeds/News/Transfers/Official club feed via Twitter/Fan podcast and the best of radio's Newcastle output!
    Latest and greatest fan's Newcastle United video uploads!
    as the description says All your favourite news sources, transfer rumours and blogs in one place.been using it for a few days and it's excellent and well worth the 99p imo.

    edit : they have a suggestion bit to add services to the app i might suggest putting not606 app/or some form of link to the site in a forum section if Maltese mick will allow it like
