Im no expert on the dutch legal system, I assume there is some standard there though. You cannot charge and hold someone without something. I dont know what it is...but they will have had to tell the defendant and his legal representative what that is. Theyll have had to give disclosure also before a hearing. No one has stated what he was charged with......my thoughts are why not? If innocent stick out a statement saying so....like ken from corrie. Hes charged, awaiting trial, says hes innocent. Of genuinely no good reason why this guy is in jail then shout it from the rooftops with reasons. He'd get more donations that way. My thoughts are...he dont have a defence. You can call me a **** if im wrong

It's true - because they're doing good it makes some people think they can act how they like. There's a great summing up of this in a Christopher brookmyre novel, The sacred Art of Stealing.

He's good cheers - moaning like buggery about having to give up smoking #bringhimnocorettes but the doctors have said the recovery is good and actually the attack was not very serious. I think the point is as soon as the words heart attack are mentioned everyone panics even though soemtimes they're probably not actually that bad - of course you can only say that with the benefit of hindsight

FAC should start a fund for me to be released from my utterly farcical and downright unlawful ban on the Rangers board <ok>

I'm innocent, I wasn't even pissed, didn't throw one punch, it was an Anderlecht fan pretending to be me and, if anything, the huns were to blame.

I understand what you are saying, but in fairness to these folk running the campaign. They don't know what they are doing and they don't know if they say anything whether is would prejudice any hearing against them.

It feels like you are presuming they are guilty because there must be evidence to support their arrest and detention. I'm reaching a bit here, but for public order charges that came about after the Tottenham riots, the conviction rate of the met Police was 86%. So for 14% of cases that the met police brought to the CPS and the CPS agreed to seek a conviction on, they failed. There must have been a reason for things to progress to that level, but they failed.

Now in this situation, it appears that plain clothed five oh were scuffing with Timmy. It appears from that STV video that Hans Van Copperman took a few liberties with Timothy and as I said earlier, that does cast a doubt over everything that happened after that. That is clearly what the defence is going to attack and it is where the prosecution is very vulnerable. Whether that is enough...... Who knows.

I fail to see how police brutality can be his defense? That will have been after he committed an offense. Perhaps it could use to try to retract any statements he gave after his arrest but its not the basis of a defense.

    I agree.

I don't know what prompted you to say it though, or why you are quoting me when you did.

    Sorry, quite right.

Read what you wanna read and spit back out something that opposes a vague resemblance of the point being made.

Some Celtic fans acted like arseholes and it doesn't seem to matter who takes the hit for it, as long as somebody does.

Nobody has a problem with folk being apprehended and punished if their behaviour is out of step with the law.

I'm not judging anyone arrested in Amsterdam as I dont know whether they are guilty or not.

It appears you are confident of their guilt . Now your conscience is clear you don't have
    to make any donation .
