Played a blinder by all accounts......brought off to a standing ovation......that does not happen very often.
Thought you would be all over this during the dullness of the next few days due to the International break... Incidentally Warky; Woking's next 2 league games are: (H) Sat 16th Hyde (bottom) (A) Sat 23rd Cambridge Utd (top)
A goal, an assist, man of the match and a standing ovation. It doesn't matter who he is playing against there's nothing more we could ask him to do!
He can obviously only play against whats in front of him, well done, a good performance by all accounts. Now if you are selected for our first team, lets see if you can up the ante, and score in the proper stuff, because as you know goals at that level don't count, good luck to you hope you can step up to the plate
Marriott's goal @ around 5:00 and assist 6:50
2 more goals today for the boy wonder, taken off with 2mins to go to another standing ovation...Hyde took a 2 goal lead, Woking have managed 3 shoots all game, all on target, all goals, good effort....
Just like Rhodes, he continues to put the ball in the net, and that's all you can ask of him. If he continues like this Mick will have to seriously consider using him at some stage during the season, right?
Well done...Marriots doing all he can do.......... he is proving a class above in that league should be great for him to be scoring competitive goals.
I suspect this might be what Mick is hoping hoping to achieve with this loan... It wouldn't surprise me if we brought in another striker in January (loan) and so sending Marriott out again to cut his teeth in league football will probably be the route Mick will look down. If he keeps scoring though, I imagine there will be a few with a keen interest in taking him on loan
