No, they certainly don't tell the whole story. As you say, leadership, inspirational effect etc. are not quantified by counting the standard types of event. (It would be interesting to know if CH said anything to Jonny specifically at half-time, or whether Jonny was simply responding to what CH said to them as a group.)
It seems whatever Hughton said worked a treat to be fair. I think Snodgrass said in a post-match interview he pretty much gave them all a bollocking.
Not according to Snoddy as quoted by the Independent (see the Match Day thread for more on this): I don't know where the "bollocking" report came from. Did anyone actually hear him say it?
Yet you'll still probably hear Carrahbuh and the like saying the players must have gone behind Hughton's back and disregarded everything he's said to them to perform like they did second half.
Oh, I misinterpreted it. I just rewatched it. Snoddy said there was feisty words and than says Hughton told everyone to relax. Not quite fluent in Glaswegian yet.
