Yeah, but he still had everything to his game and was great to watch when on form. Such a waste of talent.
The type of player I can't stand, has it all to go far in the game and do something great and memorable but think they are the bollox and just stay as a good player and live with "what ifs". hate this type of player you can see holding themselves back!
I know what you mean, they are frustrating. Especially when you see others like Dirk Kuyt who isn't the most talented but is willing to work his socks off to make up for it.
Yup, El hadj diouf could go down as cult player just because we missed out on Anelka due to him, spent a shed load and he was a good player but again crap crap crap attitude. Salif Diao somehow got tagged along too. Hamann also for me, took to the scouser way and is pretty much a scouser these days.
Disagree, I think Diouf was an awful player with a shocking attitude. He was definitely one that thought he'd made it as sign as he signed a contract with a Liverbird on it. Diao had a good attitude, he just wasn't good enough. Anelka was the opposite to Diao; fantastic player **** attitude.
Hmm in the red of Liverpool Diouf was shockingly bad...... however he damn near single handedly took Senegal to the quarter finals of the World Cup and was mugging defenders off. Think once he signed on the dotted line, his life was sorted and he just botched becoming a great player. **** attitudes all around!
was tempted, not too fussed out of him or Alonso, but he just edged it for me in his setting up play and goals he could score, plus was another option for free kicks.
Dudek Marcus Babel / Jones Big Sami Razor Riise / Heggem Mcmanaman / Garcia Berger / Gary Mac Alonso / Molby The Keiser / Barnes God / Collymore Crouch / Nando Dean Saunders - just for that goal when he threw the ball at the defender, picked it up and went and scored, genius. and Karl Heinz ridle? forgot even where he played ffs lol
He signed prior to that tournament, hence us Liverpool fans questioning the signing before jizzing in our pants about him joining us!
Up front. I loved him but it was the twilight of his career and he had stiff competition for a place too
