That's fine for friends and family they may feel they have a responsibility to them but for supporters organisations to band it about is way too far. Many fans acted the **** in Amsterdam regardless of what the police did that is there fault. Some moronic fans will now think that they can act however they please and the FAC will cover their legal costs because of ****e like this. If they get made an example of perhaps people will think they should behave themselves or end up in bother.
I totally agree - everyone else can laugh and joke and point fingers but these are still people's brothers and sons. If one of my family was in that position I would do everything i could to make sure they got a fair hearing. And, as MTD already said, it's not compulsory.
Yeah, except is it not FAC doing the fund and trying to get folk to dip in to their own pockets to help 2 fannies who got arrested for scrapping with polis?
There's me jumping in without reading again . I just thought it was friends and families. in that case yes it does send the wrong message.
It wasn't spur of the moment, they have been asking for evidence from other fans and now feel they have enough to justify a fund. Remember, fans have been arrested before without a follow up fundraising event, this is purely down to the police involvement in the violence/arrests and the length of time they're being held for Nobody will pledge money if the don't feel an injustice is taking place
They may well all be innocent but why the **** would I give them money? Because they are Celtic fans? I don't get it.
It's going to the lawyers I'm sure they would if they were asked but I suppose if you've given money already you've seen enough evidence
This is a logic i cannot make head nor tail of. Some people acted like ****s, so people who may not have acted like ****s should be made an example of. I think Vlad the impaler applied a similar approach to justice.
I'm quite sure if these are the ones that are detained that will be because the evidence against them is probably very strong or they are deemed responsible for more serious offenses. I think the chances of them been not guilty are very remote and think people buying this line are nincompoops. None of the charges they are facing are published with the plea for cash just the nonsense that they are innocent.
I have a social conscience but I draw the line at donating money to support people who happen to support the same football team that I do.
So you are quite sure the accused are guilty without you having seen any evidence, yet pass comment on a plea for monetary support because you haven't seen any evidence of their innocence. That, Thomas is buuuuuuuuuull ****.
See that, that is fine. That is your opinion and I can respect it. I don't agree with you but that is ok.
