There's a lot more people live in those big orange patches than live in Scotland, and I don't think there is any argument that the average person in southern England is richer than the average person in Scotland.
I think Scotland should vote YES to independence. It's exactly what they deserve. Like a spoilt child who, despite a great deal of intelligence, has failed to recognise when they are better off at home with Mum & Dad, wants to strike out on their own. The focus being on their status - independent - and not what that status will mean to them personally. I really hope it goes through...
Strange how you love looking it up all the time though. Or maybe you pick a copy up when you're cycling to work in your fluorescent hot pants and nipple hugging vest?
How much can we charge Westminster for maintaining their military base at Faslane on our independent soil?
Yes and there is no doubt the North East Of Scotland is far wealthier than certain parts of Scotland due soley to the Oil Revenue I shall concede.
Aye http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/markeaston/2009/12/do_you_sincerely_want_to_get_r.html "The wealthiest region is the south-east of England followed by the south-west and then the east of England. The poorest households are found in Scotland. It is as though Britain's assets are being pulled down to the bottom."
If the Scottish people vote not to take control of their own future they deserve everything they get from the Tories. It really is a once in a lifetime chance.
Some people would rather remain subservient to a Government in another country which was elected with less than 10% of the vote in Scotland. Sadly, 100s of years of being told you're not strong enough to stand on your own two feet has that effect on people.
Quoted from a recent publication of The Economist; "One poll found that just 21% of Scots would favour independence if it would leave them £500 ($795) a year worse off, and only 24% would vote to stay in the union even if they would be less well off sticking with Britain. Almost everyone else would vote for independence if it brought in roughly enough money to buy a new iPad, and against it if not." The future of an entire nation defined by the craving for a ****ing ipad
I dont know what all the fuss is about. Currently Scotland reports to Westminster who report to their freemason friends at the EU who reports to the banks. Scotland would simply cut out the middle man whilst making themselves and the rest of GB weaker. We need to stick together and fight those who, without our permission, committed high treason by selling our sovereignty abroad.
Stirring stuff here. Are you suggesting that we recolonise West Britain before taking the fight to the beaches of Northern France and taking over Europe? If so, count me in!
