Kurt Zouma, a 19 year old Centre Back, widely regarded as a future star received a 10 match ban for this tackle...

It would appear there are ridiculous amounts of people who disagree with the ban as it is quite a good tackle, just his momentum obviously comes through...

I should say the player he tackled did receive a broken leg...however the tackle in itself he wins the ball and therefore is not a foul...

The lad certainly risked his knackers stretching out like that!

The leg break was really unfortunate, but the tackle looked honest to me...

Not a ten match ban like for me. I'd call that a freak injury, the injured lad should have committed to the tackle hard or stepped out of it, he'd seen him coming in yet he's in no mans land tackle wise and his foot is flat and anchored. All footballers should know that harder you tackle the less like you'll get injured. Hope he makes a full recovery and I hope the young lad making the tackle doesn't get the Catts treatment. It's just a accident, I've seen 3 broken legs on the sunday league pitch, grown me spewing up, no malice in the tackles just one man tackling with heart and the other tackling like a pansy.

Modern day football those tackles where you are off the ground they say you are out off control.these are not safe and not allowed.red card ten matches if that's what it takes to stop those tackles.i repeat modern day football.

I disagree he was out of control he was off the ground modern day football one for one all tackles like that receive red cards the laws of the game have made these rules and banned those tackles RIGHTLY or WRONGLY.

that's my point one for one not double standards it didn't stop that dickhead from sending off our two players. If the powers what be want to stop tackles where players are out of control they must be sent off it's not my ruling

I think you lot are all to young to remmember the 60s and 70s leg breaking tackles. Do you all want them in the present day.if so contact the f.a. And tell the because modern day football has no place for flying in off the ground out of control tackles. Know doubt I'm wrong again.

Back then it was men playing though mate.
Plus if you saw Norman Hunter flying in you got the **** out of the way.
A lot of bad tackles I see these days are daft twats trying to buy fouls by sticking their leg in the way, to stop the tackler getting near the ball.
The OP was accidental damage done in a tackle.
    **** happens.

brilliant tackle, but still he was not in full control and in the air so still a red card in todays rules but his manager would of kicked off if he didnt go in to win the ball so what can you do?
