Well done`JA... People are laughing, but you have identified the problem and trying to be pro-active about it... You may just pull it off mate..? Well you probably have more chance of that than CAS Trust has of buying The Valley, and there was some big talk of that not long back...:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Welcome back <peacedove>

Try to keep your comments vaguely on topic and you will get a warm welcome on this site.

Your constant search for new investors for CAFC is much appreciated. I have heard that bloke Sheik Mohammed has got a few bob. Can you message him on Facebook for us ?

Millwall found a rich Yank, and Palace got 4 lifelong fans to invest £1m each...and ended up in the Premier League. What are we doing wrong ?

Just out of curiosity, what is the state of play? Statements from mods that Ackers remains banned but he's back posting on this thread? I'm confused. My own tuppence worth - I agreed reluctantly with the original ban for all the reasons stated but this forum could do with a bit of activity and entertainment at the moment so maybe time to live and live? Ackers has competition for eccentricity and volume these days! Easy for me to say as I don't have to mod it

As far as I'm still concerned no ban has been lifted. I'll discuss several matters with Tewkes later.

Let him back on a trial basis. As soon as he mentions Richard Branson or the Saudia Arabian Royal family, ban him again.

Shouldn't think that's the problem... I'm guessing he gets banned because admins on forums end up feeling like human spam filters.

I wouldn't object to giving Ackers one more last chance. This forum has been pretty quiet recently, even after saturday's controversial game there was hardly any debate until Ackers suddenly popped up like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. However I realise the problems faced by the mods.

Sorry guys - but we wont be lifting any ban. It may be an unpopular decisions in some quarters, but we strived in the past to make it work and it never did. The forum may be seen to be quieter (as are the others and CAFC's own social channels) but the debate and quality has still been strong IMO and I personally don't want to compromise that.

JA is only one of two members that we've banned since the integration from the original 606, so hope you'll see that it's not something me or Tewkes, even AH before us, have ever favoured - but when its been required we've carried it out and have to stick to it. I won't go in to the private conversations we had, but none of the agreed terms were ever upheld from Jonathans side and I don't see that changing.

With you on this SuperC and Tewkes. Unfortunately for the anarchists amongst us everything has to have some regulation. The mods on here have not been heavy handed and I recall that the original decision was taken on the basis of comments from a large number of the regular posters on the Charlton page who profess their support for the CAFC. It is painful to ban one of your own but if the Wall and Celtic pages are happy to let JA contribute to them, so be it.

The mods on Into The Valley have just 'un banned' Ackers :emoticon-0150-hands, which is a great start.

One of the reasons we are better restricting J.A to our site is that his ban is forcing him to WUM on other club's sites to relieve the tension building up in his wrist. His efforts on the Millwall site are mind boggling. Lets get him back on here.

I totally support our mods. Only they know all the crap they have had to put up with.

Oh blimey, man the lifeboats <wah>

We are not talking about preventing a terrorist atrocity. We are talking about the occasional thread about fish fingers.

Rubbish. Ackers swamped the forum over a long period of time with his unique style of contributions.

In support of JA, I would like my not606 membership to be terminated immediately.

Or at least let me know how to do so, and I will do it myself.

All this talk of restrictions, terms and uplifting of bans is utterly ridiculous. I want no part of it.

    Thank you.
