I hardly ever come on here for the whole of a match weekend. Nothing distracts me when I'm watching the game, much to the chagrin of an ex-girlfriend.
This. I purposely put my phone out the way during games otherwise I end up missing things. I only comment during games when I watching the match via a online feed as its a lot quicker on PC
I had to demolish 2 sheds a while back in our garden. So I went to B&Q, bought the biggest axe I could find, along with a really nasty looking crowbar and a massive sledgehammer. I was dying for the guy on the tills to ask me what I wanted it all for "Just a bit of robbing mate"
thats the one lol, you know that site was started by a young scouser, but he sold the fecka to someone from Middlesborough (not the reason i left by the way )
Sorry to see you leave gaf but HIAG won't be. When bbc606 bit the dust I joined this site, ja, sportswitness and a couple of the big LFC sites and I've got to say this lunatic asylum was ****e at first until Mick gave each forum mods to get some sort of control, I chose this site because it allows posters to be themselves. I don't really think there's a clique though mate I think there's a group of like minded posters that come on here for a laugh and from the outside looking in the in house craic can be funny, the derailment of threads needs looking at though tbf and the OT threads were mainly here close season, but at the end of the day mate its your call so good luck until its finally our year and you make your comeback.
This clique stuff gets on my nerves Its ppl who are saying it that dont want to joke or mess about a bit I try and have a joke with everybody, to be light hearted (bar serious threads) and certain posters just blatantly ignore me, that is annoying as its rude and poor manners to be honest I dont want a forum where the only thing you do is talk Liverpool and be serious So see in a couple of days mate when you've let off some steam
I joined here and ja at the same time. I mostly used ja606 because there were more of the old bbc members on there but I stopped posting a year ago because of the admins. The 'atmosphere' on here is different because it is more liberal but I have to say whenever I've had problems, a PM to a mod has sorted it. I too read a lot more than I post. Some of the OT stuff is good fun and when there's an international break, it keeps the site going. I stay away from the OT stuff I don't like. I think the clique is just members who are used to each other but I also understand how some can feel on the outside of that because I do too, and that's because I don't have the same familiarity with certain posters [nobody in particular in mind]. gaf - I remember you from bbc - stay around, please!
Oddly enough, I often do watch them with an ex. She got the bug for 'Pool when we were together and has kept it up since we split.
Undoubtedly the off topic stuff can go too far but it only gets worse when no one is posting on topic stuff if you see what I mean. Fair to say all those (me included) who go off topic a tad too much do also contribute large numbers of posts on topic too.
The next time someone does a leaving thread can they also upload a pertinent sad song to accompany the heartfelt reasons for leaving. I feel it would add to the all round drama.
Saturday Afternoons, I have my the TV on with the sky results team, my laptop on my lap with a stream on, bbc sport website, fantasy football page anda poker tournament. uaually can only find time to write SUAREZZZZZZZZ!!!!!! when we score. I know what you are saying about it being a distraction.
There used to be a lot of off topic stuff on Original 606 too. You also had to work through them to find the more serious stuff.
I've been here just as long and have none! ****s the lot of ya! Sad to see anyone go, I'll put you down as 3-1 Suarez and do my best to 'fix it' so you win
I've left a message or two on your board just because no one had posted asingle thing for about 6 weeks The peoples club eh....the "people without internet access or mobile phones" club more like.
