Only a week or so ago he promised to carry out proper research and then consult fans before any name change.

Now he publicly states it was bullshit.

    He's a lying ****, there's no denying it now.

For a successful business man the guy really doesn't have a clue.

Liverpool's holding company is Fenway Sports Company, but no one calls them that.

The reason Barca and Man Utd are most successful commercially is because offer the most exciting 'product'. Not because they have changed the name.

Does anyone who knows a bit (lot...) more about Allam than I do, and has either met him at one of these meetings or round about the club got a view on whether they think he is likely to throw his toys out of the pram and take his bat and ball home any time soon? he seems to be quite fiery, and being made to look an utter cock may not agree with him.....any thoughts?

I've never met him. But I doubt he'll do that because he'll lose alot of money.

He's really pissed people off, people are calling the ticket office asking for refunds on season tickets.

On the contrary, this is precisely why he LOANED the money to the club. He can quit any day and call in the loan, effectively making us insolvent. It's no accident he did this.

He can't bust us, he owes all the money to himself.

Considering this poster is an outsider he/she posts some very good stuff, much of which I am in total agreement with.

The very fact that this 'campaign' appears to be rapidly descending headlong into an anti-Allam seems to me to be foolhardy, and I think that fact alone will deter many from having any involvement in it.

At last we have honesty; it is an honesty that paints a truer picture than most had anticipated. If it was a deliberate move to send a female journalist, then it was inspired; she dug in, asked the hard questions, made critical points and probably got herself barred from Allam House - well done her, an excellent piece of work in very dynamic and challenging circumstances. But what did we learn?
    - He does not really understand the various names and he doesn't feel he needs to.
    - The name is no more that a lever in his assertion of power.
    - He will not brook interference in his business affairs (Hull City is business to him)
    - He has a low level of tolerance
    - He is unpredictable

Like I said, take him on, because he sure as hell isn't giving the campaign a backdoor!

Edit: Or accept the futility of it all and enjoy the season.

It's not about what was said in the press release Lambo, it's what some posters are saying on the forums. Typing without first engaging brain is dangerous, not to mention highly stupid and provocative.

Surely he can cash in all our assets in terms of playing squad and training ground to reclaim the loan?

Bloody hell. Toys out the pram. How much do the junior tickets cost in the first place? It won't cost the club a lot I doubt.

So..... in light of all this and the kind of person he has revealed himself to be how do we feel now about the council not giving him the KC for free?

With him blaming this for the reasoning behind the name change I cant help but feel he deliberately made an unworkable offer to the council knowing they'd turn it down with the ego-driven name change being the planned end-game all along.

From the interview it is clear Assem Allam does not, or choses not to, understand the difference between the limited company's name and the registered playing name of the football club. By issuing the statement, backed up with his interview he has told the FA and the Premier League that they are wrong and the club's name is Hull City Tigers. Neither Ken Bates or Mike Ashley took on the governing bodies directly.

Assem Allam may be hoping they don't care that their authority has been ignored in this way. I suspect given the media coverage we'll find out shortly.

But he's not always going to be here Lambo, and I would suggest that there are quite a few on the forums that have at least an equal amount of contempt for AA

Only a damn fool would question an open forum's comments and the right for them to be made (as long as they have accuracy and are reasonably well qualified); do you suggest that everyone should shut the **** up and tow the AA party line? He's running a public opinion business, mate; this is a football club, not the Masons.

    Why is it?

Why in all his statements does he refer to taking this course of action due to the council not giving him the KC? I tell you why - it's cos he is passing the blame elsewhere saying his hands are effectively tied on this.

Why doesnt he just say I want to change the name and it's down to nothing else? Again I'll tell you why, its cos he knows the fans wont like it but if he balmes someone else then he might not lose some customers.

Last week he said he wouldnt change the name until it was proven it would raise revenue streams. Now he says he already has changed the name. I'll be interested to see this few days analysis of how changing City AFC to Tigers raises the associated millions he is missing out on through not being given the stadium.

His heads gone, he doesn't know what it's called himself... Maybe time to hand it over to Ehab and consider retirement
