You're just guessing though tbh. The football authorities will be aware of everything he's doing and will be in consultation with him.

As an example just look at how Blatter & Platini run the world game and how they get away with cold blooded murder.

You really are having a laugh aren't you? If the statement was made by a clever legal team it would have explained the difference between the club's playing name and the company name.

We haven't lost, the playing name is still Hull City. It will be interesting to see if the Premier League and the FA take the same position as you. We'll find out soon enough, I feel.

I must say the campaign group does seem to take the opportunity to self-congratulate itself at every opportunity despite achieving **** all.

How will they react to today's news?
Another 300 scarves on a purchase order I presume.

Oh for goodness sake go away. I doubt you are even a supporter. If you don't care then don't comment.

So are you. We may end up getting shafted but at least we tried. Some people put their hands up and say there's nothing you can do, some people don't. Sometimes you lose and sometimes you don't. Come April we'll know if we've won or lost. Defending our identity for a few more months is a price worth paying for me.

Isn't that almost a resignation to defeat?

And I accept that entirely, it's my honest opinion both as an outsider and someone who has a little insight into certain relevant aspects.

In truth I know nothing because the kind of people you're dealing with are different ....... so different you can't contemplate it.

You may see it as a courageous struggle that's worth the fight ........ but will you think that if it disrupts the club and you go down by a tiny margin?

enjoy being played with like a toy ... I know ... I worked there .. I know how much they spend and getting solicitors to read and edit every club statement ... you have nowhere near the financial clout that they have .. but hey you get to have people donate to a lost cause .. enjoy your time protesting but it simply will not work

every positive you took from the meeting they will have taken two ... it really is men against boys I am afraid .( and I support your principles) .. but I know what will happen regardless

Is Mr Allam aware we can be relegated next May?

A hugely unpopular name change confirmed in April with a return to the Championship in August will be a real test for even die-hard fans...

If Assem Allam wants a club called Hull Tigers he should sell Hull City AFC and start his own club.

We'll see shortly whether the legal advice was worth the money they spent. I'm sure the FA and the Premier League know the difference between a football club name and a company name.

This campaign is starting to seem less of a strictly anti name change campaign and more of an anti Allam rebellion by the day. It seems to be influencing other fans into its vendetta as well. I feared it might start turning sour.

I don't like it. If Allam wants it bad enough he'll get it one way or another despite what any fan does. Time to call it a day before it does get nasty. The last thing the club needs is disgruntlement and a rift in the support, it needs us all behind the team as one.

The moment the first 'fan' (i use that term very loosely) says "Allam out" is the moment the campaign needs to pack its bags in the clubs best interests before we end up like Newcastle or TWS.

That kind of sums up very succinctly how I would imagine attempting to negotiate with Assem Allam would be
