It almost happened at Newcastle when John Hall invented the 'Geordie Nation' and the locals bought into it with the lure of world domination and untold success. If they make enough promises people will go along with it. I'm sure this owner, of yours, was welcomed with open arms. TBH, he wants a club to be known as the Tigers that everyone already calls the Tigers .............. it's not that radical looking from the outside. In all honesty, I see Hull as a club that was grubbing around the lower leagues in a grotty stadium and are now in a modern stadium and playing in he Premier League. So do many other supporters which is why you'll find little genuine sympathy, I noticed some Saints were shrugging their shoulders at your thread, on their board, and asking 'Errrrrr, and?' I'm sure it's a massive deal to you but, seriously, how much did you care about what happened to Darlington if you're being totally honest.
Ill be honest , Ive more interest in the Mt chiliad mystery than this as I know how this will turn out ,,.,, sorry but back to gta5 for me
He doesn't want it to be known as the "The Tigers" we're already called that. It's not just the change of name but the reasons behind it. Up to now other Clubs have been extremely supportive and understanding.
I'd love to listen to the conversation between AA and the proposed investor in January though .. Nut Job "mr AA i have heard of your club Hull City in the prem , i want to invest" AA " oh gooooood you have heard of my club?" Nut Job " no ! what club what is your club called ?" AA " Hull Cityyyyyyyy " Nut Job " nope , i dont like it , you must change it so i can suddenly become aware of it " AA "what about if i called it Hull Tigers ?" Nut Job " this is fantastic because now its instantly clear its a football club" AA "i know its my club" Nut Job " what is this Manchester United its above u in the table ? its a bit of a mouthfull " AA "have u heard of them ? " Nut Job " no ! but have my gold , i going to eat tiger penis for tea!"
AFC Bournemouth are registered as Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic Football Club. They played under that name for the first 73 years of their history. The 'trade name' under which they currently play is sleek, respectful of footballing tradition and rolls off the tongue. Even fans in their 70s and 80s know them as that. In other words, the name under which they are registered with the FA and Football League is largely unknown or at best forgotten about, because they adopted a more catchy name (one which at least maintained their integrity and history). Compare that example to changing your name from Hull City AFC to Hull Tigers, via, for some strange ****ing reason nobody knows, Hull City Tigers.
You boasted on the Sunderland board before that thread was deleted that you were responsible for locking the Southampton board. If you want to help us you're welcome, but don't start rewriting history I'm not in the mood. If you have a serious question ask, but don't start that I'm being reasonable stuff or suggesting we have things to hide.
I'm almost of the hope they ban us for illegally changing the club's name..... (Teach the twat a lesson)
Take me back, i dont know what i was thinking. I've lost Carmine Ive lost Payton, Aggers wont speak to me and im drinking heavily
I've explained my reasons for that 100 times, if you choose to ignore it then that's your choice. I'm not dishonest enough to suggest I want to help you, I'm just asking questions and giving an honest opinion. I'm not saying you have things to hide as I wasn't addressing you. I asked someone else a question which he hasn't answered. If you're speaking on his behalf, as it appears, please answer the question.
Before this goes where I suspect. You're welcome on here, as is everyone, it's a cross forum network, but if you start the performance you did on the Southampton and Sunderland board, your welcome will be short lived.
I totally agree, I was there on numerous occasions, my point isn't that Sunderland are any better. My point, that you seemed to miss,, is that either club was playing in the lower leagues, with no money and in a ground that was dropping to bits. Therefore, the fact that we're playing in the Premier League, signing internationals to play in a modern stadium will attract little sympathy over a name change. That was my point, not a 'my cock's bigger than your's' comment that you see it as.
He paid the creditors but Hull City still owe the money, to Allamhouse. If he puts the club into liquidation he loses £66 million. The money may not be his, but could belong to other family members or be part of a trust fund. It may be that the Premier League don't care, but they issued a press statement saying that our club is called Hull City and they had not received a request to change it. Assem Allam now says he's already changed it. I wonder if the Premier League mind one of its members ripping up its rule book and doing what it likes.
You've no need to stick your chest out and start with the threats again, as usual, if I'm out of order ban me. I don't need you to tell me how to behave or where I can post. Your suspicions are in your mind where I'd prefer they stayed unless you have something specific to say.
