Ok, teeny bit of arrogance from me. Leicester away to Ipswich and Burnley away to Forrest. We are at home to Charlton. Is it too arrogant to expect to be top at end of next play?
I'm useless at predictions, but I expect Forest to nick a point against Burnley* so I think they'll still be top, but in answer to your question, no, it's impossible to be too arrogant. We will be top sooner rather than later, although I would rather we were top later and stay there. *Burnley that is
It's this sort of post that gets up other teams supporters noses....... As Col says, one game at a time........and if Leicester & Burnley drop points so much the better.....we could stay 3rd all season for all I care as long as we are in top 2 after 46 games....
Understood and agree of course. No disrespect intended but we do have the home advantage for our next game.
Don't see how it is arrogant to speculate how the league will look if we win our next game...maybe if RTID came out saying we are going to walk all over every other side with ease, fair enough. Let's hope it happens though!
Good grief Col have you changed? I thought you were always worried It's a good shout it could happen Ipswich take a point Forest beat Burnley I would hope to win against Charlton Short odds of that happening IMO We don't get promoted in November so I agree with you but we could be top ... I believe Burnley will slip and I consider Wigan and Reading to be better contenders ... We have leads over those two but I can't see other teams taking too many points from them
I'm sorry to say that I suffer from the George Constanza theory on life ( Every instinct I have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right ) and that we have no chance of going top. If you think I'm a quitter, you are indeed correct ........... Yeah, I’m a great quitter. It’s one of the few things I do well. I come from a long line of quitters. My father was a quitter, my grandfather was a quitter ...... I was raised to give up.
Everyone here keeps expecting Burnley to 'slip up' or 'fade away'. Why should they? On the basis of what I've seen they look strong and have a lot of self belief. Its arrogant to suggest we are 'stronger' or 'better' than them. Fingers crossed we do Charlton. That's as far as I'm looking.
Totally agree with you Wubba. Burnley look solid and let's just focus on where OUR next goal is coming from.
Is it too arrogant to expect to be top at end of next play?[/QUOTE] HOPING is the word your looking for
Worry about us not anyone else. If we deserve to be promoted we should be....If two teams deserve it more...we won't be in the top 2 Do not jinx things please
All I want is to see a comfortable and convincing victory, without any more injuries. I don't particularly care how the other teams do. At the end of the season it will be down to whoever has won most games. Come on u Rrrrr's
Jinx? ... agree we have to make our own by prior to these games its worth a physic punt .. we can't go 4th and it may make us grow stronger than a honey badger ... I know this board will be full of it if we do it and results go our way ... It's human nature
Agreed. I've said that about Burnley every time someone says that they'll fade away. I don't think they will.....nor Leicester.
