Manager Neil Lennon has stated publicly that he wants the midfielder, who is out of contract next summer and free to speak with interested clubs on January 1, to extend his stay at Parkhead. But Ledley was not allowed to speak about any contract negotiations after the game at the Global Energy Stadium and it is believed there has been no recent advances on the situation. Celtic have made their position clear to the 26-year-old and his representatives and chief-executive Peter Lawwell stated a fortnight ago that he wanted new deals for Ledley and Georgios Samaras sorted before the New Year. But nothing concrete has yet emerged regarding the former Cardiff City star, who has become a fans' favourite since joining the club three-and-a-half years ago. It is believed both parties are far from panic regarding the situation and there is still room for positive moves before Ledley gets the chance to speak to suitors. Just another example of how delighted the Scottish Main Stream Media takes delights in putting the Celtic fans under pressure. Having quite successfully achieved their aim in having many Celtic fans, especially the stay at home armchairs fans, believing Celtic fans went to Amsterdam to wreck the city , they are now turning towards the management and players .
