On a serious note for a minute, why is he banned from this site if indeed he is ?

100% genuine Charlton fan , a bit of a character, and generally adds to the gaiety of the Nation.

Moderation is generally tolerant on this site, thats one of the good things about it, so lets encourage Ackers and let him post if he wants to *


* - when he returns from brokering a billion dollar deal in Dubai for new Charlton owners, of course :emoticon-0105-wink:
 
Jonno is a good guy. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but he loves Charlton and is up for a laugh.

I would agree with you but the trouble with Ackers is that once he gets on a forum he runs amok, filling it with incessant posts of his own particular style. The mods tried limiting his posts, and he promised several times he would behave, but he just can't help himself. He was given several "last chances"; maybe he should be given one more "last chance" just to remind us what he's all about.

Surprised he's a Charlton fan to be honest.
 
Its daft, because we now have a situation where a pre eminent Charlton fan of long standing is basically barred from posting on the three main Charlton websites- ITV, not606, and CL . There is also a whiff of hypocrisy in general where Ackers is concerned, because whenever he does sneak a cheeky little post on, everyone loves it :emoticon-0115-inlov

Known him for years, he posts in spurts in between all of his other hobbies, but let the bloke have a voice !
 
If it was a cheeky post here and there, then that would be fine - but that wasn't the case. I don't want to go in to too much detail out of fairness to JA, but we tried several solutions to keep him on board, but ultimately it was being spammed and we were losing a lot of traffic.

I wont say a bad word about JA, but as things stand he isn't allowed back as an active poster.

Reading & enjoying an Ackers post is one of life's guilty pleasures, right up there with a furtive glance at Page 3 and a pound bet on the Grand National.
 
It's like that scene in 'of mice and men' you just don't know what's best to do. Shoot Lenny in the back of the head or just leave it and let fate decide.

Ackers. Remember that the moderators on here are good charlton people who do this in their own time and without reward, so we can all enjoy the forum and have a chinwag and a bit of banter along with serious issues, whatever they decide, you should really understand they are here for the good of the forum, if you play up and start posting 28 different threads "like how many fish fingers can Chris Powell put in his ears" and "who has the nicest teeth in the reserves" , then I don't think you will be around for very long.
 
Trust me typical im not like that i have been kept very busy of late trying get some money men involved in the club spreading the word around ,i think i might have found someone we in phone talks now so going meet them hopefully before xmas see where we can go with our plans so im keeping my fingers crosed all my hard work has paid off dividends
