No Life, but we still need to push hard to get in the top 6 and then push harder to stay there. Saturday was good, but the performance will count for nothing if we don't now go on and beat 'Boro at home in the next game.
How do you work that out MTMB? We're on 23pts & Readig who are 6th are on 24. We're actually only 9pts off 2nd!!!
Mowatt withdrawing from England squad, due to a groin strain picked up in training. Should be avalable after the international break. BMD praises Pugh and Brown and he says he's close to the players and sees them in training and how they react. He was confident that the side he put out would perform well and get a result? fair play to him and the players who were given a chance, as battles for places always works well.
Belated good morning all. Great couple of results back to back to keep season going. Big thanks to Ross for that. This is my first season supporting Leeds that I never check upcoming fixtures. The division is so unpredictable, its pointless trying to figure out even what next game might bring, let alone the next half dozen. Before season began, I think most of us would have happily taken our present position a third of the way in
If we finish 8th this season, in my book that should mean BMD gets chamionship manager of the season, in light of what I stated last week in 2 threads. Fook me at this rate he'll be taking over from woy
Can anyone tell me how many of our players have scored 4 goals in a agame I seem to remember in 1954 John scoring 4 at Hull in the last match of the seasonI was there and Viduka against Liverpool but that's my lot
How do mr 60, hope your well I believe Brian Deane got 4 for us as well. Probably tap ins or close range headers but I am sure he did bag 4 in a game!
Spot on, I was just looking that up! Brian Deane netted four times as Leeds United secured a much-need win with a 6-1 thrashing of QPR at Elland Road. Amazingly The R's were ahead just two minutes into the game with Gareth Ainsworth lashing an unstoppable shot past Neil Sullivan. The Whites were not behind for long with recent signing David Healy chipping Chris Day after nine minutes to bring the home side level. Deane's first gave Leeds the lead and, shortly after, Jermaine Wright added a third to put The Whites 3-1 up after just 23 minutes in. Veteran striker Deane, who is in his second spell with the side, completed his hat-trick before the interval with a brace to put Leeds in firm control. The home side could even afford the luxury of a second half penalty miss from Healy, although Deane added his fourth to put the icing on the cake.
Heres a question for the old boy Leeds 60 Remember the time when our kids won the FA youth cup and at that time everyone was talking about 2 strikers who would make it big in the game. Robbie Fowler, but he was outshone by Jamie Forrester. Young Jamie was booted out and only ever plied his trade in L1 and L2, yet everywhere he played he was on the score sheet every week. Banged goals in from everywhere and yet wasn't massive more like Michael Owen. Robbie Fowler equals coont and young Jamie must feel shafted. Jamie Forrester scored 4-goals on countless occasions for the Leeds kids and for other clubs when he left
