You're are missing the major point here. One of Rooney and Suarez is a wanted player by most clubs, the other is wanted by Mourinho who settled for an aging Eto'o instead.
The fee. Seems that £50million has raised to £85million....minimum. Fair play though, at least one of you doesnt have your head up his arse. Must be crowded up there.
I think it depends on who comes in for him, when it is and what the situation at Liverpool is. £85m is a lotto win type deal, £60m is realistic. I just hope Real come in so its closer to the former.
What I meant by that is most clubs would want him, I didn't mean they were trying to sign him. Pretty sure clubs such as Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Man City, Chelsea, etc have reportedly shown an interest in Suarez though. Only one I've seen for Rooney is the three english clubs mentioned.
Provided Luis continues scoring and creating, combined with a strong WC campaign, I think we could command £70m ...
Suarez already outscores Rooney for club and country. If Rooney didn't take penalties bought by Ferguson his goalscoring rate would be embarrassing.
Anyone who goes for him will be aware that he spends a chunk of every season in detention. It didn't stop Arsenal going for it. Of course they might think they could change him, or that he's learned his lesson finally. Fat chance, imo.
