AVB has been the manager for 49 PL games which is probably enough to judge, and has more points per game than any other Spurs manager. I quite like the pattern that is forming, but there is certainly still room for improvement.

Another ****ing 'keeper has a faultless game against us. Newcastle did well but I've no idea how we didn't score at least one.

People wanted more chances and more width, I think we got that yesterday. I don't begrudge an excellent 'keeping display but it's really left us in the **** now, the potential for us to go 4 games without a win is very real now and that would leave us with little room for error in the rest of the season.

The 2 subs for injuries at half time made things more difficult, especially since they were defensive subs but AVB shouldn't escape criticism for getting the line up wrong in the first place. Sigurdsson did his best but he isn't a left winger and once again failed to produce much of note, AVB should've given Lamela another shot and moved Townsend out there.

Overall it's frustrating though and shows the fine lines in football. Had Krul not had his porridge for breakfast on Sunday morning we could've been 2 points off on the back of an excellent performance against Newcastle but instead we're sitting in 8th wondering whether we're going to drop down even further in our next couple of games.

Avb can't be forgiven for not starting with Sandro, maybe in a year we can forgive him but only if he gets us in the top 3 and makes Eriksen and Lamela both stars !

Eriksen looks far from a star right now. I'm even debating whether Roo knows what he's on about ;-)
He was woeful again yesterday apart from one decent shot

Go easy on Roo & SOS as I've been winding them up about Eriksen and I think they thought it was some personal issue! every person here would have rated a player highly only to see them fail to deliver so they shouldn't take it personal if Eriksen is a flop but you can be sure I'll remind them about it!! (as will you) :D

Spoke with him in PM this morning, I think hes lost abit of intrest in spurs at the moment, not to mention there is no transfer gossip as we have done all our buying, so thats boring football and no gossip, Roo may need to start revisiting old threads just to remind him of the good old days!

I was somewhat relieved to see this post B&W,. I was beginning to think I'd watched an entirely different game then some other posters on here.

Soldado always seems to be flanked by a marker(s), who nearly always gets to the ball before him. He clearly needs to make more effort to find space.
As I'm sure your aware B&W., In these instances, its all about the timing of the run and good movement. This is a crucial and necessary attribute for any front-man at this level and in this league. I don't see much evidence of this from Soldado. In the same vein, I'm also surprised that a striker who has cost in excess of 25 million is displaying such a lack of confidence that he is seemingly prepared to wait for the ball to be placed a foot (305mm) or so away from his right toe,. two or three yards from the opponents goal line., in order to score.

Soldado at the moment is definitely not up to speed. Spurs are not scoring enough goals, I'm sure you will agree B&W, is not all down to the creative players in this squad.

Says a lot when the highlight of the first half was hearing that Olivia Munn was in attendance

The game I saw turned when Soldado failed to connect with an open header. I thought he did well creating chances, but poorly on getting on the end of passes. Definitely a disappointing game from him when he finally did get good service.

Eriksen's corners were pretty woeful, but he did a fairly good job dribbling through players, making good choices and creating chances. That key passes stat was in line with what I saw. Paulinho also tended to create opportunities around the box and looked dangerous. Gylfi came closest to producing the only goal but didn't get himself in good positions enough. Townsend wasted every ball he got, IMO.

The set piece delivery is a long standing mystery.

If you look at the various outstanding footballers we have had, when presented with a dead ball they simply can't connect properly.

Bale broke the trend after remembering he could actually take a free kick, but that took years for the penny to drop.

Now Eriksen is the latest player to fall foul of the set-piece jinx!

Its not an ability issue, must be a confidence thing as if you don't feel confident stepping up to take a corner or free kick then they are over-hit or under-hit, which is what we are seeing.
