Perhaps I'm thinking of later stages of a season when games have been rescheduled then. Oh well, @ me it is then
I hope we both we finish Top 2 (with Arsenal 1st of course) JUST TO RUB IT IN THE MANCS, CHAVS, DIRTY OIL SHEIKS, PUNDITS, EXPERTS, GLORY HUNTING TWATS, etc... and prove that they are all ****s Oh and Southampton and Everton 4th (let me dream)
enjoy it? meh its a long and winding road. rodgers has got to a nice place but he's done nothing yet. we are all about trophies (apparently) so its all about improving more. Rodgers has signaled he's got to buy in january. thats a good thing.... but we should be having only two objectives this season a fa cup run or some sort (6th round anyone? min) and 4th. If he fails to deliver then he's got to have a team to do it next year... not only do it but actually win something. I want LFC at the top for life not just for christmas.... dream big is my opinion.
Still a long way to go, but if we can remain largely injury free, then we should be in the mix. Our form during this calendar year has been very good and we're amongst the top 4/5
On this calender year thing,is there a easy way to calculate what points have been won by the top half teams so far this year.I would do it but don't know where to start,I think it would make interesting reading.
Actually you're not wrong. In essence the idea is to play everyone once in the first 19 games and then play them again in the remaining 19 games, not in any order as has been pointed out. A couple of examples when that didn't happen: 2010/11 - our first game against Fulham was game 24, game 19 we played Bolton for the second time. 2012/13 - our first game against QPR was game 20, game 19 we played Stoke for the second time. Now that's how you do pedantry
It was just a regular fixture - http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/lfc-s-2012-13-fixtures-revealed I'm sure there are anomalies like that from time to time, the idea is to split the season in two, it just doesn't strictly happen every year.
You're welcome I'm a suck up and a pedant assuming of course that when you said the season wasn't split in two halves, those points were what you meant
Yes, that's what I meant. You don't always see the nineteen different teams in the first nineteen league fixtures. Obviously, this season is different. I take delight in the issue these guys of made of my comment. Shows I don't **** up often In a none spelling / grammar sense
[with pedantic hat still firmly in place] Obviously it's the other seasons that are 'different', because it doesn't happen a lot. But hey, you weren't wrong!
