I hope that this is just typical tabloid BS and not a done deal as in the article. I don't want to see Chambo sat on the Arsenal bench or reserves like Walcot did. When he would be a first choice for NA here and continue to develop and achieve the potential we all know hes got. If he does go, I hope we make sure theres a ton of sell on clauses put into the deal and all £12million payed up front and not in installments. F***Off Arsenal, try developing your own talent for once!

Still waiting on the Jack Cork signing to be announced as well. A couple of days ago that was a 'done deal'. The club is keeping a lot quiet isn't it. Perhaps Cork will play next season disguised as Hammond, and the fact we signed him will only be revealed on the last day of the season when he whips off his mask to the surprise of St Mary's...

I think with Jack Cork though, he is away on International duty and he may wish to leave it untill that's over so he can concentrate on the tournament

The problem we have signing players is that Nicola's left hand doesn't let his right hand know what its doing, so can't hold a pen.

I dont usually give any of these stories any more credence than pure speculation, but this one does have a ring of truth. If £12m is true then seems a decent deal for a player who as yet is still unproven at championship level.

NC will be in Cyprus too for the Football League meeting; discussing the wage cap. Cannot see any deals being done with people away. Would like him to stay; would love £12M however to see spent on the suad.

    A quote from Mark Chamberlain:

“Considering where he was at the beginning of the season and end of last season, to have the clubs we’ve been hearing about looking at him, he’s made great strides."

Nothing to do with the coaching he's received then?

To be honest if he wants to leave then let him go, i would rather have him gone than playing for us when he doesn't want to. As long as Nicola re-invests the money in the squad then im fine. If he goes then just get a couple of wingers (ie Pilkington) and a couple of defenders and a striker.

I have to say that from what I've seen and heard about Alex, he would always give his best even if we stood in his way. Honest player.

It's hot in Cyprus..struggling to imagine NC in anything else but a suit. He must be broiling. Now Adkins I can imagine in long shorts, sandals with socks and a knotted hankie.

Although speculation keeps us all busy we should wait until news is announced on the os, that's when I believe it! (Y)

Wonder who'll be speculating about in ten years. There must be a little star somewhere that we will train up and have all the other clubs slathering over in a decade's time.

Mirror Wins Race to Make Up Story About Chamberlain.

In a development that will shock the world of professional sports journalism to it's foundations, the Daily Mirror today won the race to be the first tabloid to peddle as fact a completely unsubstantiated rumour about Alex Oxlade chamberlain.
