I included that season (when he got 42 goals) in those stats. It is also why I said above that he set the record straight. However, the point remains, he had a reputation for being a "bully" for a couple of years prior to that. Suarez has done the business against the better sides and you are restricted the analysis to this season as that suits your argument. Isn't the old adage; you can only play whats in front of you?
Not really. I could have pointed out how a wingers goal scoring ratio was incredibly close to that of a striker who some currently claim as the best in the league. i didnt however. i just thought it would be a fair comparison to use the data from when ronaldo became more of a Wing forward as he did after the WC in 2006.
But, if you take out all RVP's performances this season and past career and only include the game against us, he has 0 goals. #overrated
Feel free to read back and see how I've just put you straight (whether you recognise it or not) on this
you could have done but then, we'd have just pointed out that he played in a front three rather than as a winger for most of that season, he was even the main striker at times too. Aren't you suppose to be a Man Utd fan?
But right now. At a time when hes being claimed as the 3rd best player in the world, is he or is he not a flat track bully? Dont give a flying **** about last season or the season before. Just this season. it seems he is. Im sure things will change but scoring loads of goals against awful sides isnt enough to make him the 3rd best player in the world. hes also scored 1 more goal than RvP in his last 4 games. The difference is RvP has scored goals that have led to united getting 10 points and beating the league leaders. scoring in each game while Suarez has scored in games that have earned his side 7 points, scoring in only 2 of the games. A few seasons ago you guys made the exact same arguments I am making about berbatov ( who also had a brilliant goalscoring record during his career ). Whats the difference?
RvP has played six more games too I never made that claim against Berbatov. I never did against C.Ronaldo either, I merely pointed out that he had a reputation similar to what you were suggesting for Suarez. For the record, I don't agree about the third best player claim. My comment in the OP was intended to create a discussion which seems to have been successful
This is honestly one of the most stupidest "debates" I've ever had. So despite Arsenal being the only "big" team Suarez has played in the PL season (even though he was our best player), we should dismiss his entire scoring record, achievements and attributes and base his credentials on that one game! I'm sorry UIR but he's not being judged on them 5 games, he's been one of the best players in the PL since he arrived and tore your defence apart in his first season, and has been a shining light in storm of **** for the past couple of seasons. He's not a flat track bully, stats have proved you wrong, and to be honest any one who watches football would be able to acknowledge it. So apparently we're mid-table without him, but he only scores against **** teams.. Well this season, apparently (despite only playing 6 games, which he scores 8 ).
